My first experience with them (before I had moved to within 10 miles of the shop): They picked up a woman friend's van whose wheels had siezed up on the freeway. We got towed, and left it with them while we went camping for a long weekend. When we returned, the van was fixed, and there was a $50 invoice. If they had been typical, here was a situation ripe for picking, but they were (and continue to be) honest, and will explain any situation if asked. They refuse to do illegal repairs(emissions, etc.), but will accomodate budget problems whenever possible. ps I looked up their number, (845) 692-5454; located at 80 Tower Drive in an industrial area (finally) a 3 minute walk from a major chain grocery store.

I just moved to the area. My mechanic that I had for 17 years was 220 miles away in Massachusetts. My car threw a belt as the result of the A/C compressor pulley and the idler poulleys.Th first shop I drove to in Walkill gave me an estimate of around $700.00 for parts. I asked to go used with te parts and the owner told me that he doesnt get paid to call shops for used parts and told me that if I wanted to call for used parts he was going to charge me storage $30.00 day. Email me for THAT mechanic. I took it Glosters after a Cartalk reccomendation and even though they knew they had me at their mercy.they called for a full week til they found used parts for under one hundred dollars (far cheaper than the $700.00 quoted by mechanic #1.) They told me that they would do everything they could to make sure that the repair didnt kill me in the wallet...and they followed through. What was going to be a $1000.00 dollar repair turned into $350 dollar repair because of Glosters. I recomend them absolutely to anyone.

I bought a car from here for about $2600. The check engine light was on when I purchased it. They said it was just because of the machine or whatever (don't know much about cars, and they knew that too). They had to drive it around for another 100 miles or so for the light to turn off. I picked the car up and the light came back on literally one day later. Two months later the car continued to overheat. I had to put another $600 into it to fix the overheating problem. Two weeks later the car completely broke down and needs a new engine. I literally put all of my savings into this car. I have no more money left. And no car. They ruined my entire living situation. They are heartless human beings. I truly keep praying to God that they needed that $2600 to put food on the table for their families. Because if not, if they knew this car was going to break down soon and still sold it to me, only God can judge them now.
