The other day I was getting an oil change. The plastic handle on the dipstick broke. Andy wanted to pay the 13 bucks for a new one, since it broke while they were working on the car. I refused since it could have happened to anyone and the design of the part is lousy.

Bruno's Audi/VW has been around for 40 or so years. Their mechanics are German trained, complete with the German accent. Very knowledgeable, and from my limited experience, fair. I will be going back for some more work. Let's hope they won't disappoint.

I was suprised that any listing of mechanics could neglect Bruno's. I thought Bruno was practically a legend among VW-Audi owners and was sure that he'd be mentioned here. Bruno loves Audi's and VW's and working on them. Though he's semi-retired (I hear he has a hard time staying away from the shop) now the quality work is maintained by Andy Stiebel who continues to run the shop. Three generations of my family have relied on Bruno's honest and timely work to keep our VW's and Audi's running in top form. The shop was recently forced to relocate (from Ridgewood to Middle Village) to a smaller space but the work quality remains top notch.

My experience with Bruno's was amazing. I nearly decided to get rid of my Jetta due to my dealers terrible service department, but my mind changed after visiting Bruno's. They were honest with me, called me back when promised and my car was ready earlier than promised. The staff was friendly and informative and the shop was extremely clean. The best part was the staff doesn't talk down to you like my local dealer's (Koeppel VW, who you should avoid like the plague) staff did. Thanks to Bruno's I can now say I love my jetta again. Thank You!

I have 6 cars now in my family and have had 15 VWs since a 1976 Rabbit Diesel. Currently have a Jetta and Touareg and an Audi A4 among others. All have been serviced by Bruno's [ now brothers Peter and Andy Steibel ]for nearly 30 years. Easily the best auto repair facility ever. They only service VW and Audi. They know more about VWs than any dealer -- period. Absolutely honest, careful and meticulous. Like being in an old world German/Austrian time machine. No hassle. No hustle. I raced pro rally with Bruno -- who is a world-class off-road driver. If you are anywhere near Glendale, Queens -- and I live 35 miles away -- take your VW there. You will never go elsewhere.

This is the shop to go to for VW repairs. I drive more than 35 miles to get to them. They are knowledgable, honest, reasonably priced and certainly know VWs! They charge about 1/2 the price of a dealer and you get MUCH better and FRIENDLIER service. The place is a bit hard to find, but once you do, you will not regret it. GREAT SHOP!

I've brought my 2000 Audi A6 2.7T to Bruno's for the dreaded timing belt/water pump replacement and several other minor repairs. The cost is extremely fair and the turn-around time is quick considering the high number of customers they service. But what sets them apart is their honestly and expertise. Andy specializes in VW/Audi repair and if you own one I highly recommend that you bring to Andy.

I had my Audi fixed at Bruno's twice. Good and profesional people especially Andy. Take time to explain the problem and what can be done. Their estimate include parts price and labor. Still their prices for both are a little high. I could find the parts that I needed for less, almost half price. And I'm talking about good quality parts that I've reaserched on Audi forums before to buy. I think going there would worth it for people with no or little mechanichal skilles. I do most of the work on my cars.
