We have been totally, overwhelmingly impressed by Nic's encyclopedic knowledge of Saabs and their peculiarities, and by his store of parts. All work has been done promptly and well- the improvement in power was so noticeable after the first "tune-up" that it was hard to believe there had been no major modifications. Nic is unfailingly honest, and holds strong opinions on the proper care and feeding of of "his" Saabs. We always learn LOTS at each visit (and never feel he condesends to female/less car savvy owners).Rose handle questions, appointments, and billing with unfailing

After having many bad experiences with local mechanics it was a great relief to discover this shop. They are honest, hard-working and dedicated people who take great pride in their work. Nic has spent much time explaining problems to me and has always gone the extra mile to make sure that the job is done properly according to his very high standards.

I have been bringing the seven SAAB's I have owned exclusively to Nick for the last 25 years. He is (along with his assistant Jon and wife Rose) competent, open to dialogue and [occasionally brutally] honest. His first consideration is always his customers' safety and his integrity is beyond reproach. People would do well to develop good relationships with service providers. I consider mine with Nick to be a mutually beneficial collaboration.

I was traveling in the area when my lovely Saab died. I called the Pellegrinos in desperation. They towed my car in, sight unseen, without any fuss or promises. We spoke several times by phone about the massive repairs it required. I knew I wanted to be his customer when he offered lots of repair scenarios; an all-new fix that cost more than the initial purchase price of the used Saab, a partial fix using a combination of new and used parts with the rest of the repairs to be done at a later date, or maybe I should consider selling it for parts. In all scenarios, Nick was completely upfront and honest with me about my car. He and his wife did a ton of research trying to find good parts and semi-fixes for me. They even put me in touch with someone they thought might be interested in buying the car for parts. Nick laid out all the pros and cons in great detail. And they hadn't even met me yet! When I returned to the area and the time came for me to meet them and make a final decision, I brought cookies. In the end, we did the semi-fix with new and old parts, which Nick said he would only charge me for the labor if it didn't work. It did work and the car is still going two years later. When it comes time to buy my next Saab, I am going to the Pellegrinos.
