Bruce Jr., Anthony, and Bruce Sr. are always helpful and accommodating. They are very up-front about costs and they always charge exactly what they tell you it will be. They are good aboujt dealing with emergency repairs and they are always done with the work on time. They installed a new clutch in my Honda Accord a few months ago and when I picked it up I didn't like the feel of it. They adjusted it three times for me until they felt I was satisfied.

My daughter was stranded about 150 miles from home in her beat up Geo and we towed her car to Village Auto based on the Car Talk Mechanic files. Initially it look like the car needed $300 in parts and labor, but after about 3 hours of work an additional $800 was needed. We decided to scrap the car, and Bruce at Village was very super to offer to put all the parts back and not charge us for his 3 hours of work. Thanks so much for helping a stranger in need.

I had them do a diagnostic when my car was having trouble starting. They did a competent job and charged me for 1/2 hour of labor only (instead of rounding up to 1 hour). They explained my options and gave reasonable recommendations. The second time was just the inspection, but they did it promptly and got back to me in a timely manner. I will definitely use them again.

These guys tell women there is something drastically wrong with their car and then charge them way beyond highway robbery prices. The positive reviews must have been by the guys themselves since everyone in the area knows they are a rip off. I will never use these robbers again and am telling everyone I know about any other place to go to get real and reasonable service. They inspected my daughter's car and then called her two weeks later to tell her she had a serious brake issue that needed $1,200 of work done on it. She took it to two other places that said the brakes were fine. They charged my wife close to $200 to put snow tires on her car - she bought the tires there for close to $900 one year ago. Stay away from these guys.

BEWARE: DO NOT BUY A VEHICLE FROM THIS SHOP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! We purchased a VW jetta from them 2 weeks ago, and since had the check engine light go on along with a myriad of other problems costing us over $500 at this point. When we asked them to repair/cover the costs of the problems we were having, they were very rude and told us "Too bad, we aren't going to do anything about it and it's your problem" DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THEM, THEY ARE SHYSTERS!!!!! We are currently seeking legal action against them...

Asked about used tires on the phone that they listed for sale ... Spoke to Matt ....Asked him 3 times about the condition and tread on the tires because I was driving over one hour ...was told that they had 90% tread life ...when I got there the tires were in worse shape then what I already had on my car .... Maybe 20% tread ..... I was lied to and scammed ....... Not honorable people at all....

I had quite a bit of work done here over the last year, despite the relatively high prices. Bruce was very communicative about what they found and the work that they were doing, and that initially gave me a good impression. But with my most recent experience I am no longer a fan. When I had my car inspected last August they told me that I needed a new wheel bearing, which I had them replace along with quite a few other maintenance services for a $1000 bill. The wheel bearing failed earlier this year, which they replaced under warranty -- still a fan. Last week, that same bearing failed again when I was on the road a couple of hours away, and they were not receptive to discussing a warranty repair unless I had the car towed back to the shop. The new mechanic told me he didn't know how the bearing could have been replace properly in the past since there was an old bolt that was seized and clearly not removed, which suggests to me that I had two good bearings replaced with bad practices. Exactly the thing that I do not want from my mechanic. I am very disappointed with this treatment (and out another $400-500), and would not recommend this shop based on this experience.
