These guys seem reluctant to let me spend too much - they will try to talk me out of expensive repairs if they don't think they are necessary, rather than replacing parts until I run out of patience. They don't seem to be willing to cut corners and they do things right. They charge by the hour, rather than book estimates, and depending on the job that usually works out well. I have had both my Volvos into their shop a number of times and I am satisfied that I'm not getting ripped off.

In 1995 or 96, I basically demolished my 1992 Chevrolet 4WD truck with 66,000 miles. They repaired it including replacing the FRAME, front axle, hood, fenders, windshield, bumpers etc. Now the truck has 171,000 miles and not one single problem even remotely related to the repairs. The paint still looks better than brand new trucks. They have repaired and maintained my entire family's vehicles with complete satisfaction. I would and have recommended Hoffman Automotive highly to anyone in Buffalo area. They are absolutely worth the ride downtown. They insist on the best materials and time honored techniques for every job. No shortchanging for anyone.

Just take a look at some of the rare foreign cars sitting around the shop (60s Jags, Mercedes, Volvo) and you can see the quality of their work. They repaired my 92 chevy after a plow hit it, and did an outstanding job matching the (faded) paint and re-aligning the body panels. They also do most of my mechanical work and have always found the problem and corrected it in a timely manner, although they are very honest telling you when they're busy and may need to keep the car for a few days.

Honest, reliable work on all types of cars. I have been a customer for 30 and I' m very pleased with this shop's customer service, their knowledge of the ever changing technology of modern cars and above all their honesty! You will not get unnecessary parts or service here, just what the repairs warrant. The best collision work in Western New York hands down. If you have a crash and you want it repaired like new go here.
