I have been to several garages in the Albany area. I have never been very happy with any of them until I went to Vince's Garage. I have been going there for about 2 years and have been happy with every bit of work they have done. They always remember me and my car and all the work they have done in the past. There are also several problems with my car which they are very honest about; telling me that it is not dangerous and not worth fixing. It is a place I really trust and have never been uncomfortable going in alone (as a single female, I have not had many great experiences with treatment at repair shops!). After going there, I could not imagine going anwhere else. I will be moving out of the state in the next 1-2 years and I hate the thought of not having a trustworthy garage. It is such a releif not to worry about "getting screwed" at repair shops or the problem not being fixed properly!

Vince's rules! Don't know if Vince is fixing cars anymore, but Dan (the son) seems to be in charge. Dan will quickly and accurately diagnose problems and will NOT let you get something you don't need. One time a part fell off our truck and when I held it up to him and asked if we needed it (I was sure we were doomed) he referred me to Walker Spring (another highly rated place) and a measly $200 later, problem solved. Who does that?! The only drawback? they are busy! (good for them) But if you want your car fixed by a total gearhead, Dan's the man! (and although he is young and very cute, he is absolutely not patronizing towards women!)

Dan is an honest man. I gave him my car for brake work, because it was making noise, and he said that the brake work is not needed as my brakes are fine. Honest man.

Dan has fixed my cars for years. First it was the Durango ran great after. Then my sons car that he totally screwed up with sterio equipment. Those guys worked on it for 2-3 days and there was no fixing it, he said no charge if we can't fix it we don't charge you. Then the something blew up and oil was all over the motor they fixed it. I moved to Florida and something broke I can't remember but waited until my trip back to NY for Dan to fix it. Now I have a front end problem and who am I calling? yup you got it Dan!
