The only guy in Las Vegas who can rebuild the 3-barrel carb on an '84 Civic. Also repaired A/C and improved the cooling system on same car.

Always recommends least costly fix for problems, and does not try to sell unnecessary repair work. Very honest and knowledgeable about import cars. Fees in line with good repair shops. Takes credit cards. Has done emergency quick fix without charge until next visit. Shop not fancy, but equipment good and work excellent.

Marc Cline is too honest to be mentioned in the same breath with Click and Clack and will NEVER need the services of Dewey Cheatum and Howe!!!;-) Seriously, in a town with as many operators as any ten other cities in the U.S. he stands out for his integrity.

I went to Import Auto Pros strictly on the basis of the
recommendations here. They completely lived up to my
expectations. Despite my car looking like a used grocery
sack compared to the other cars in the shop, I was treated
very respectfully. When the first part found available
was a rebuild, the shop specified that they prefer to use
new parts and called back a couple of hours later when
they verified that only rebuilt parts were available for
my make and model. They gave me an estimate on the parts
and labor over the phone and stuck to it. Import Auto
Pros is the best!

These guys are AWESOME. I found them from this website,
after being on the air with Click and Clack when my Honda
Civic mysteriously died. I had just arrived in Las Vegas,
so I didn't know anybody and certainly did NOT have a
mechanic here that I trusted...and this is the hardest town
to find a trustworthy car person, in my opinion! (This
place is full of swindlers and cheats). So these guys were
the top listing on this site, so I went straight to them.
They took my car in and looked at it right away, (I had to
tow it to them) even though they were about to close. They
gave me an honest assessment. (It was time to sell the car,
not keep fixing it). They kept my car (free!) and stored it
inside until I could get it listed on Craigslist and sell
it, which literally took 3 weeks. They were always super
kind and would answer my myriad questions in detail and
with patience. They were always nice and I never felt
talked down to because I'm a chick. I highly recommend
Import Auto Pros! Al and Marc were fantastic. I am happy I
found them in Vegas! Thanks, Click and Clack. :)

I have taken all my vehicles to Mark for the past fifteen
years. From Mercedes, Acura, Toyota, Honda, Isuzu and
Infiniti--he has kept them all running and saved me
countless dollars compared to the dealers. I do not think
you can find a better, more honest mechanic in this town.
I have referred many persons to Mark and they all report
the same excellent service and experience.

My son rolled into Las Vegas without knowing a sole. The front end of his Subaru Outback was vibrating severely at 70 mph. The first shop told him it would cost $1,200 to fix it. Bruce at Import Auto Pro's diagnosed it to a failing tire. The entire bill (diagnose, new tire and balance all 4 tires) was $275. I highly recommend these guy's.

I am so thankful to have found this excellent independent repair shop. I wanted to transition away from the dealer when our 2008 Honda CR-V's warranty expired, so I looked here in the Car Talk Mechanic Files, and found Import Auto Pros. They have been fantastic! Most recently, we took the car in because the steering wheel was shimmying badly ever time we slowed down. I spoke with Steve, set up an appointment, and sent my husband there at the agreed upon time. The shop quickly repaired problems with the rotors and the struts, and the car brakes beautifully now. This was the most serious mechanical problem we've had with the car to date, but we did have problems with the door locks, and Import Auto Pros did a great job of replacing them--and at a much better price than we would have paid at the dealer. With the CR-V now at 6 years and 100,000+ miles, I'm sure there are more car problems in our future. Knowing that Import Auto Pros is there when they do is very reassuring. Thanks to Car Talk for helping me find them!
