I ranked them low on "complete work in timely manner" only because they are a very busy shop. Sometimes they are backed up a lot. Also, I find it's usually me calling them instead of the other way around. Otherwise, all work is performed flawlessly as far as I can tell. Judging from comments I have heard around this small town, everyone loves this place and the people that own it and work here. I've seen all sorts of European cars here to be worked on- exotic Rolls (complete with Grey Poupon jar on center console) and Mercedes Unimogs, to mundane VW bugs and busses. One of the few shops where I would have no qualms at all bringing a car in and just saying "fix it" without getting an estimate. Very trustworthy and knowledgeable people.

My wife and I have used George for a number of years, and until recently he did an adequate job. Last August I brought him my 2001 Jetta which sat for over a month before I got any communication from him. I finally paid $600 and was on my way. The very next day the car experienced the very same problem and I called George immediately and as usual I had to wait a week before he could take a look at it. As usual he said he'd call me. To make a long story short I was promised at least 6 times that he'd call me. He not once picked up the phone to inform me as to what was going on with my car. In the interim I went to the shop at least half a dozen times to talk to him and each time he had other ideas and things to try and each time he promised he'd call me right away which of course he never did. It is now March and I just spoke with him again and he told me he doesn't know what is wrong so I asked about my $600.00 and he refused to refund it. I asked for my car back and he told me it's behind some junk and the battery is dead, so apparently it's just been sitting there for months while he kept stringing me along. DO NOT USE THIS SHOP!!!
