An example -- My 1991 Previa starter began behaving erratically at 110,000 miles. The Toyotech guys could have done just like the local dealer and replaced the entire starter, a $300 part. Instead they replaced only the contact set, a $25 part. This repair is not usual; they researched it themselves, having gotten tired of throwing away perfectly good starter motors with another 100,000 miles left in them. The shop is run by 3 men, Ross Martinez, Michael Potter, and Rick Montoya, who decided Toyotas are the only cars designed with the technician in mind. All three of them are gentlemen in the true sense, and are thoroughly knowledgeable and honest. I recommend them without reservation.

When I gave my 4Runner to my daughter (at 270k miles) I bought another Toyota because I didn't want to change mechanics.

These guys are fabulous! They have been working on my Toyotas for over ten years. If I had to move away, it would be tempting to keep coming to them for routine maintenance.

I have been taking Toyotas to those guys since 1995. They are absolutely TERRIFIC!

I scheduled a service for my Tacoma truck with Toyotech and showed up on the appointed day at the appointed time (8 am). After knocking on the door for a few minutes a sleepy-eyed partner/owner appeared looking worse for the wear and not fully dressed. I reminded him of our conversation earlier in the week and the appointment we made. There was no recognition, but he agreed to do the work and told me to pick the truck up in three hours. I returned in five hours (to be on the safe side). The partner/owner was nowhere to be found and the three employees in the shop professed no knowledge of the situation. They were not helpful. Half an hour later the boss appeared and said they hadn't started yet, but that they would get on it right away. Needless to say, I ran for the exits.

When I lived in Santa Fe, I felt totally at ease leaving my car in the hands of Rick and Russ at Toyotech. They run a fine company and I was always treated with utmost courtesy (even when I couldn't quite explain noises I was hearing). They have a clean shop, take pride in their work, and have a LOT of repeat customers. I used them the entire 7 years I lived in Santa Fe and I wish I was less than 1500 miles away now! I would still be going there for auto CARE. Lynn VG
