I can't say enough about these guys. Gabriel always takes the time to explain the problem in detail, in english as opposed to mechanic-ese. Scheduling is never a problem and their hours are great - something like 7am to 6pm. Prices are always reasonable. I couldn't answer the question about 'responds well when they screw something up' because I haven't had any screw-up experiences with them. A friend (male) also takes his car to Auto Angel and I believe we are treated the same, i.e. no bias toward male customers and no fleecing females. I know they work on Volvos and most American cars (Chevys, Jeeps, etc.); I think they work on lots of other imports as well but call them to find out!

Gabriel is friendly, fast, very reasonable with the bill, and absolutely honest. And competent. He has immediately diagnosed problems that my previous mechanic, the most popular in town, spent years failing to fix (and charging me handsomely for the disservice!)

We run a small fleet of eight, four-wheel drives trucks and SUVs, american and japanese, through their shop for both routine and breakdown repairs and they do it all and do it well. We've been doing this for several years because of despair over the quality of service from dealerships in Santa Fey. We are also told when things don't need to be fixed. Great diagnosticians and ace mechanics; they should be brain surgeons!

If you were in charge of the world, you would assign Auto Angel as "Official Auto Repair of Planet (your name here)". Seriously, I found this shop on the Car Talk website; Gabriel and the staff are exceptional: thoughtful, thorough, and trustworthy. They explain problems clearly, offer various options for dealing with a problem (whenever possible), and charge very affordable rates. They provide true peace of mind for me. I treat my 1998 Honda Civic better than our fine crystal, and Auto Angel is the only place I would ever take it (dealers included). They also service our 1995 Jeep Cherokee with class. This is the type of shop you dream of....what, you don't dream about auto repair shops? - Art

Auto Angel has done good work for people I've talked with. In my case, they misdiagnosed the problem and made repairs based on it. When I brought the car back with the same problem, they did another repair without charge, based on their guarantee. I had to return my car a third time with the same problem, and they finally fixed it but refused to honor the guarantee at that point. There was some negotiation, but I still ended up paying a pile of money because of misdiagnosis on Auto Angel's part. I'd return to them as a last resort

Went to get my car fixed because check engine light was on. So like a smart person I always check at autozone first. I get recipt and go to shop, tell lady EXACTLY what I want done to my car ok, she then tells me "I dont need that" talking about my autozone recipt on code. Ok so get a call few hours later, lady asking me why I want my breaks changed and only thing they did was change my oil. WTF! Get there mad because I told these idiots exactly what was wrong with my car (fuel sensor) needs to be changed, want my breakpads changed and roaters resurfaced and oil changed. And they only change my oil. Wouldnt recommend this place, not professional, do not listen to the customer at all!!! Obviously. If you want good quality work go to PEP boys really never ever recommending this place to anyone omg idiots
