I am not a certified mechanic, however I have more than a rudimentary idea of automobile repairs and problem diagnosis. More than once I have taken my cars to Bobby Joe for a diagnosis and repair estimate. His diagnoses always are accurate and his repair work is done correctly. What has been a pleasant surprise on several occaisions is that after beginning the repair job, he has been able to correct the problem with fewer parts or for less money than originally estimated. Even better, the repairs fix the car and it stays fixed. I always hesitate to recommend movies, restaurants, dentists, mechanics, etc. to my friends. But I have recommended Bobby Joe many times, especially to friends who are female, and they always thank me for the referral. That is as high a recommendation of someone's work as I can think of.

On several occasions my car has broken down in remote places, near mechanics who I don't trust or know. Robert has always accepted my desperate phone calls and he generously attempts to help me figure out ways to get out of the situation w/o having to go to a mechanic I don't know. He is a great person and every Thursday night is ping-pong and darts night!

Bobby Joe and his wife are two of the finest persons in the business. Having had several beaten up cars which need more than my sidewalk knowledge, they have helped me through a lot. They are honest, affordable, and kind. Bobby Joe only makes repairs which are necessary and are immediately dangerous. He will tell you if you can drive your car with an obnoxious sound, for how long, and he is almost always right. On Thursday evenings the shop hosts a neighborhood ping-pong tournament. Everyone is welcome.

Bobby Joe and Suzie run what has to be one of the best shops in ABQ. Their mechanics are competent and Bobby is as honest as they come. He won't fix it unless it's truly broke - and he's really good about explaining the options and consequences. I have referred several friends, and they all feel as positive as I do.

I have a Ford Eddie Bauer 1993 Explorer. It has 287,000 miles. Boby Jo has fixed the thing that were wrong. When I needed a new transmission, he recommended a shop that specializes in transmissions. When I went to them and said Bobby Jo sent me, I knew that the service would be as good and the work as complete as if Bobby Joe had done the work himself. Bobby Jo is the BEST!!!

My daughter was on the road traveling from TX to CA and, from what she told us over the phone, we thought she was having alternator problems as she was approaching Albuquerque. Another shop that was busy recommended we call Bobby Joes. She had been driving all night and was very tired and vulnerable. They got her in as soon as they opened, were friendly and courteous, cleaned her terminals and sent her on her way with no charge. I would recommend their shop to anyone.
