Ronny is an artist. Do not rush him. But I never had to take a vehicle back to him for the same problem twice. A neigborhood shop, the antithesis of a highly organized , antiseptic car dealer. Understated competence rules here He is located in the Chamberburg neighborhood.

This is an old world shop where you get years of experience and an honest deal. A much better option than going to a dealership.

This shop was very accommodating to my fiance when our vehicle wouldn't start. They had the vehicle in first thing in the morning, drove her home, and then picked her up again 6 hours later. The alternator was not charging the battery due to an improper fit of the wire connecting to the post on the battery itself. He explained this to her in a way that she could understand, advised her that he tightened it and charged the battery, and sent her on her way having charged only $20. Good, honest service from an old fashioned shop. They don't make-em like this anymore.

I chose R&J Garage on the recommendation of the reviews here. They were very courteous and even gave me a ride to the train station so I could get to work. The work was done within a day, and the bill was about 20% less than I expected it would be. It's been about a week, and so far there seem to be no problems with the repair. I will take my car to R&J next time something goes haywire.
