First, I don't know if this shop is convenient to public transportation. Okay, I expect the same qualities in my mechanic that I expect in the leader of my country. I want someone who is competent, honest, and admits his mistakes. Oh well, at least Eddie and his people live up to this. They have always fixed what needs to be fixed, fix it right the first time, and on the one occasion that they didn't (my whole family goes there and they once made a mistake on my brother's car - before he got a DUI and lost his license, but that's another story), they fixed it the next day for free.

I had a great experience at this shop. Everyone was very friendly, and they took care of my car very quickly. They were upfront about their concerns, but didn't pressure me to buy other things or fix other parts (which tends to happen at other shops/dealerships). The price was very reasonable, and I drove away a very happy customer. Also, although I ended up not having to leave my car behind, when I first asked about getting back, they were willing to drive me home.

I brought my car there because I was having problems with it starting. It was an old car and I really just wanted to know if it was worth fixing. The mechanic told me it would take a few days for him to figure out the problem. Three days later he calls me to tell me he fixed the car, WITHOUT getting my approval first. Now i was billed for $500+ dollars that I did not ok. I needed my car though so I paid and left. Now barely a month it broke again with the exact same problem!
