The shop is operated by serious, professional people. Low-key and do things right. Truly outstanding. Was referred to them by a friend, never regretted, keep coming back for over a year now (as of Oct. 98). "Butch" is their foreman, and probably the owner. Dennis is another mechanic there whom I know by name.

I tried based on the recommendations of this site, and after getting tired of
being repeatedly ripped off by the Nissan-owned auto shops.
They did my 120K maintenance and replaced my fan belts. They charged less
reasonable than the Nissan-owned shops (a LOT less, actually).
Like the others said, I would have never noticed their auto shop if it wasn't for
this website.
Highly recommended...for now...hopefully they didn't screw-up any of the
repairs. :-)

Their strenghts are their honesty and prices. They are not
going to do any unnecessary work. The only time that I had
to come back was for a tire repair that was leaking near
the rim. They have a computer system and can always tell
you the last time a tune up was done or the timing belt
replased. They don't use this, however, to drum up work --
only if you ask, "Hey, did I ever have the timing belt
replaced?" They call for costly repairs and to say that
the car is ready.
I've been going there for about 5 years on the
recommendation of my previous mechanic who moved out of
town. He said that it was the best shop in the area,
including his! I've since run into other long time
customers who seem very satisfied.

I've been using Paul's for awhile now - it is almost like
going to a friend's house at this point. They've been doing
work on my lady friend's vehicle - and mine will go to them
once the warranty is done. They do fantastic work and always
keep you informed on the job status and when they say the
job is done - it's done. Keep up the good work guys.

PaulÂ's Auto: run by Butch and Dennis who are brothers and now one of their
sons works with them too. I own two Volvos, a 91 and 92. One with 250,000
the other with 207,000. I have found that they always stand behind their
work and most importantly HONOST! It is amazing that when I first went to
the shop 13 years ago I asked about owning a Volvo and their ability to fix it,
since the shop was only a block away and I had just moved to town. I was
told that if it was something tricky with the electrical I might have to go to
the dealer and they would tell me.
Most recently I had to get a new muffler, 4 years after they put it on. There
was not excessive labor charge since the muffler was under warrantee. My
other car, a Volvo, same make and model, had to get the exhaust replaced
under warrantee and a national chain store and they were going to charge me
$300 in laborÂ…I should have went to PaulÂ's to startÂ…I learned the hard way.
Talk about standing behind your work. A year after a water pump was
replaced it began to leak, replaced free of charge and I was told by the
mechanic, if it was my car I wouldn't want to pay for it again. It was that
simple.
Over the years I have send about 20 people to them with all sorts of cars, all
of them said how much they appreciated finding a mechanic that you can
trust and did the job right the first time.
They also have a great sense of humor and will explain what is wrong.
Great guys great service always honest.

I have gone to Pauls Auto Repair for years. I even followed
them when they moved out of Hightstown because I respect
their work so much. They have always been very friendly.
Even when I had a hard time understanding what they were
telling me about what was wrong with my car they had no
problems explaining again and making sure I understood.
They are fast, fair with prices, and just a great place to
go. And to top it off they have a great sense of humor. I
met Dennis Jr. last time I was in. To me, hopefully thats a
sign that Pauls Auto will be around for a long time!

I went Paul's because of the reviews found on this website.
My experience was equally as pleasant to those who commented
before me. They diagnosed my car in a timely fashion and
charged significantly less than the dealership. I highly
recommend.
