Randy Bunn and his crew specialize with Honda's and Acura's. They have taken care of my 1988 Accord Lxi for the past nine years, which totals out to over 240,000 miles. Most of the work they have done has been scheduled maintenance, but they have also made repairs, more so as the care gains more miles. They have replaced the driver's side elec. window motor, ball joints, brakes, radio antenna, distributor, thermostat, and air conditioner, for example. The work has always been done right the first time. After scheduled maintenance, I can always feel the car runs better, not worse as has happened with my Ford when taken to Ford mechanics. Randy even lets me drive his car to work when I leave mine at his shop all day. Now that is a full service shop!

They maintain my '90 & '93 Civics. They do good work, but they warped a brake disk on my '90. They took it apart a couple of times but never figured it out (the car guys did). 50,000 miles later it still chatters. My only real complaint is that they have too many customers, sometimes it is hard to get my car in when I want to.

I have been going to Randy Bunn's shop since 1986 when he
specialized in Hondas. At one time, I owned 3 Hondas for a
family of 2 and he worked on all of them. I'm now down to
one car. I've always said, "If I can only have one car, as
long as Randy Bunn is working on cars, it will be a
Honda." He now works on Toyotas, so I now have a choice of
brands. His service managers are extremely knowledgeable.
They always call to tell you what the service/repair will
entail and the cost, so there are no surprises. They are
very responsive to their customers needs, concerns and are
willing to go the extra mile. Randy has two locations, Wake
Forest and East Raleigh, neither of which is convenient for
me now as my work location has changed. However, I
continue to take my car to Randy because I know I will be
treated fairly, will receive quality service and no
unneccessary work will be performed.

I have used the Wake Forest location at least 3 different
times. They have always fixed the problems the first time
and in a timely manner. I have been able to schedule
appointments, and check on the status of my car by email
which is very convent. The prices seem a little high, but
on the other hand quality is not free and I would rather
pay a little more and get an honest quality job done right
the first time

***MAJOR UNNECESSARY REPAIRS*** These people may have been honest
and knowledgeable in the past, but things seem to have really changed. I
took two different cars in in the past 6 months. On the newer (48k miles),
recently acquired vehicle, I was told that, among other things, I needed
***$1600*** of front end suspension work. Because this was so much money,
especially for this vehicle, I consulted others: a dealer, a brand-name tire
shop, my engineer and car-tinkering neighbor, and another very positively
reviewed mechanic. ALL FOUR INDEPENDENT SOURCES WERE UNANIMOUS IN
SAYING NOTHING WAS WRONG WITH THE CAR!!
For the second car, much older, I was told the rear main seal was leaking and
would need to be replaced - for $700-800. The above highly regarded
mechanic said instead THERE WAS ABSOLUTELY NO SIGN OF ANY LEAK.
Furthermore, he described the radiator "Quality Plus" had just replaced as just
about the cheapest available, only one step above "salvage." PLUS it hadn't
been installed properly. So, I could've spent $2400 for no reason. WATCH OUT!!

Very satisfied with these guys. They maintained 2 Acuras, 2 Lexus and a Suburban for us over the last 7 years. They've been willing to work with us when we didn't feel like paying for OEM parts (brake rotors) and were responsive if something didn't go right or wasn't to our satisfaction (rare). They know the cars they work on. They have sometimes suggested maintenance we didn't decide to do, but were never pushy about it.
