Once they replaced an alternator for me and about nine months later I started to get a loud squeal under the hood. Turns out the belt was slipping on the alternator they made the necessary adjustments at no charge what so ever. On my wife's car (96 Saturn), we needed to replace one of the emission control devices (we were out of the warranty period) they called with the bad news (the price). After hanging up, they called back about 3 minutes later to say that the price would be about $150 less because the DEALER's price for the unit was less than their usual parts supply store. This was after I had already accepted the higher price!

Duty tire is the only garage that I have dealt with that will not charge you for very minor repairs or checking things.

I have had every vehicle I have owned or leased for the last 25 years serviced by Duty Tire. I have also recommended this shop to family, friends, business associates, and others during this time. I have never heard any negative feed back in all of those years.

These guys have always been fair and square with me. They will adjust or fix post-repair stuff months later without charge. I have never felt they overcharge or suggest unnecessary repairs.

I have used them for over 25 years with many different brands and types of cars, and my mother started using them when she moved here 12 years ago. Besides doing good quality, reasonably priced work, I like that they'll tell you what needs to be done soon but not right now; what doesn't need to be done for a while but will at some point, and what is never worth having done for a certain type or age of car. They take appointments and prefer to work that way, but will always work in an emergency problem.

These are really decent, honest people. They have worked on two of my cars, and their prices and work are good. Once when I was in there waiting on an oil change, a guy came in to make a payment on his bill. It seems they had fixed his car, and let him have it back so he could get to work even though he hadn't paid his entire bill beforehand. What a decent thing to do. It's really nice to find such trustworthy folks.
