These guys have worked on my Subaru (250K miles) Mazda MPV (150K miles) and Honda Fit (20K miles). As others have stated, I have been encouraged not to have some repairs. And the one time the missed the problem, they credited me the amount from the first repair. And to be fair, they did say it might be the head gasket, but tried the less expensive repair first. It's nice to be able to simply believe your mechanic.

Like all humans they made a mistake when replacing a wheel bearing in my mini-van. But, they researched and fixed the problem at no extra charge. WASP does offer shuttle service, but don't ask for the shuttle service if you have to be somewhere in a hurry. That's not a knock on them, just an honest assessment; they're job is to fix cars not be taxi drivers.

They are honest. They call you before they take action. They will do what they say they are going to do and give you frank information instead of upselling.

I heard of WASP through word of mouth, and I have recommended it to many people. Galen took care of my car. He is very honest and competent. He will not recommend any additional repair if it is not necessary. He is thoughtful and always offers "little extras." I am going to relocate to another city and one of the things I am going to miss is the service from WASP AUTO!

What can I say? These guys are phenomenal. Pablo just told me that rather than repair my exhaust for $500, he'd rather send me to a different shop with more specialized tools who could do it for $140. Amazing. Their rates are reasonable, they're always willing to explain things to you, their hours are good, they'll give you a ride to/from the shop, and I've never gotten a "You're just a girl, what do you know about cars" comment from them. Definitely the best mechanics in the Triangle.

I have been going to Wasp the last 4 years. I trust them completely, because I know they will not suggest a repair unless it is absolutely needed. I even made sure my mom bought a Toyota the last time she needed a new car so she can bring it to them to work on. I have mainly dealt with Pete, and he is the best. He even spent extra time finding a hubcap for me when I lost one and didn't even charge for it! My car currently has 150,000 miles on it, and I expect to reach at least 300,000 with Wasp taking care of it - hopefully more!

Took my car to Wasp to just get it checked out; the work was done in a very timely fashion, the appointment system was great, and the employees were great. Would go back, but I moved away!

I've moved to a new state recently and unfortunately these guys can't work on my car any more. How sad I am. Their specialty is Japanese imports (honda, toyota, subaru etc.) and they are GREAT at what they do. They are %100 upfront and honest about what your car needs and how much it will cost. For example if I take my car in for an oil change they tell me to budget $xyz for upcoming maintenance a month or more in advance so you're not hit with that "where did this come from, why didn't someone tell me" feeling you so often get from other mechanics. These guys are smart, honest and I would highly recommend you use them if you live in the RTP area and drive a Japanese import. I would seriously buy a Japanese car just to have these guys for mechanics.

I brought a car to them that I was looking to buy. They checked and found something that I would not have noticed and recommended that I not buy the car/negotiate the price of fixing the defect. The next time I brought another car they refused payment for the inspection since I had paid for the first car already. Great folks.
