I have been using them since the early 1990s for Mazda,
Toyota, and Subaru work. They are as honest as anyone
could be. I have interacted with almost all of their
mechanics and never had a problem. They are among the most
reasonably priced auto service people around. Its a bit
inconvenient for me to get to their shop from where I
live, but I ALWAYS regret it if I use another shop.

Honest, fair, friendly, very competent - cannot recommend
them any more highly.

Pete Richardson and Lindsay Carter saved my life this month
when my car refused to pass inspection for the seventh day
in a row. Not only did they rerun the inspection tool
multiple times for the price of one inspection but they also
found the manual references to how to get my car to pass
inspection, which finally did the trick. Their persistence
saved me thousands of dollars in labor and repairs.

Waiting room voted Best in Triangle in the Independent.
When one of the mechanics tried to pull a fast one on me,
the owner stepped in and made it more than right. I won't
buy a car they won't service. Best mechanics on the planet.
Great landscaping, great shop, great website, GREAT PEOPLE:

Wasp Automotive is the best mechanic for Japanese cars in
Durham. When we were buying another car, we made sure
that Wasp would work on it before purchasing it. The
mechanics are great. The added bonus is their waiting
room. It's very zen.

Wasp has worked on my '92 Accord EX twice. I could not be
happier with the service. They gave me a ride to work,
called me with updates and picked me up when the job was
done. The installed a new water pump, timing and balance
belts, rear brake pads, oil pressure sender, safety
inspected the car, rotated the tires and changed the oil.
I dropped it off at 9:00 and had it back by 5:30 the same
day. The car has 318,000 miles on it and still pulls like
a train. The guys at Wasp are the best.

I have been dealing with WASP since I moved to Durham in
1988. They were recommended to me and I have been
recommending them since then. Pete believes in treating
people right and they keep coming back. I have bought
several new Toyotas and they have never seen the inside of
the dealership.

They are great! I take my '05 Subaru Forester there anytime
it needs service. The guys are all attentive, nice, and
they do great work at a fair price. Unlike other places I
have taken my vehicles, I found they treated me, as a
female, with respect and didn't try to "pull the wool over
my eyes." I'd been taking my car to the [surly] dealer
while under warranty and was glad to have found WASP via the
Car Talk website. Highly recommended.
