I was looking for someone to fix my Toyota. After going to
the dealer several times without results. I went on this
web site and found Wasp Motors. I am a woman, but they
listened to what I had to say and knew what the problem was
before they even looked at the car. Lindsey takes such good
care of my car. The car is fixed in a timely manner and
fixed right. I will buy another Toyota just so he will be
the mechanic.

These guys are great! I don't experience that feeling of
dread I used to have when I'd take my car in for work.
Mainly they've done routine work on my car but they always
explain to me what needs to be done and why - even show me
the worn out parts. They've also helped me avoid costly
repairs. The experience that sold me on them was when my
Honda needed a new transmission. We bought it used with an
extended warranty. I had suspected there may be a problem
and had asked a dealer to take a look at it on a couple of
occasions while it was still under waranty. Needless to say
the waranty ran out and the problem was still happening. I
called Pete Pettay and described the problem. Over the
phone - without looking at the car- he informed me I needed
a new transmission. I told him about my previous
experiences. He gave me a pep talk and some courage to call
Honda and convince them they needed to replace the
transmission and that it should be covered by my now expired
warranty. As a person who knows little about cars I am at
the mercy of the expert to tell me what's up and what I
should do. I was so impressed with his honesty. This
repair would have cost me big bucks and his advice basically
meant I had to take my business to the nearest Honda dealer
for this one. Since then I have always taken my car to them
and tell anyone who will listen how great they are. They
are all friendly and knowledgeable.
Oh yeah, in addition to all this, I love the waiting room at
the garage. It is clean and comfortable. There are
bevarages and a computer to use as well as reading
materials. And as a mom who has to tow arround a 19 month
old baby I appreciate the kids table with crayons and
coloring books. It is a very welcoming space.

This is by far the best auto mechanic business I have ever used. Pablo, my
personal mechanic, is quick, competent, friendly, respectful. When I first
brought my car in, I know he saved me more than a $1000 in unneeded
repairs recommended by another mechanic. These guys go out of their way to
provide excellent customer service in every way. It's even a pleasure to spend
time in their comfortable waiting room. I recommend Wasp to everyone.

WASP Automotive has the coolest waiting room of any
mechanic's shop that I've ever been in. Their mechanics are
the best.

This is the first shop I have ever been to that didn't try
to bilk me out of an extraordinary amount of money for brake
work. When I took my Honda in for its 90,000 mile service
(it's good to own a Honda) the only thing they found wrong
was that I needed new front brake pads. Here it comes, I
thought, the pitch for new rotors, maybe even a new master
cylinder...instead, they only mentioned the pads, and even
showed me the old brake pads when I came to pick up the
car!! From that point on I was sold. I will not take my
car to any other mechanic.

Pete should write a book called the "Zen of Auto Repair" -
he really has it right. The waiting area is nicer than my
doctor's office and the landscaping is great. Work has
always been clearly outlined on an as-needed basis. The
prices have always been fair and clearly explained. I wish
they would fix my American made mini-van too!!!

Until this Honda, I have always owned American made cars.
The experiences that I have had with the people at Wasp
Automotive have been so good that I will consider Japanese
makes more seriously for my next purchase, just so I can
continue to use them.

This is an amazing place! We lucked onto it almost 14 years
ago when we asked around for a good place to get our aging
Toyota Tercels serviced. Every single one of these guys is a
superb mechanic. Each is honest, hardworking, and really
cares about providing THE best service imaginable. As others
have mentioned, the waiting room is a pleasure, complete
with fair trade coffee and herbal teas -- and with no TV
squawking in the background, it's actually possible to get
some work done using their wifi network. When we bought a
new Nissan a year or two ago, we were appalled to find that
they don't service that brand -- we would never have bought
it had we known -- but at least we can still get our ancient
(1986) Tercel serviced there and our Subaru. I can guarantee
that the next time we buy a car it will be a brand that they
work on. Yes, they're that good!

I can't recommend them highly enough. Very nice, very
knowledgeable, very honest. Will tell you if something
doesn't need to be done. Great work done. Transportation
provided. Very clean shop, waiting room is very nice.

I found Wasp automotive on this site a couple of years ago,
and have never looked back. By leaps and bounds the best
group of mechanics I've ever been to. They wrote the book
on honesty and NEVER do anything without your prior consent.
This on top of the fact that their waiting room (complete
with wireless internet and gourmet fair trade coffee) is
nicer even than the one at the Porsche/BMW/Subaru dealer.
You could also sit outside on their porch in a comfy chair
on a nice day and enjoy the landscaped greenery.
