I was referred to Massey Brothers from a good friend - they also did some auto repair work for the church where my family attends. They are honest folks and I never feel like they are trying to get something past me. I drive 30+ min out of my way to have them service my vehicles. I highly recommend them.

These guys are really good. I use them for everything from inspections & oil changes to significant repairs (water pump & brakes), and they are quick, explain everything fully and stick to their estimates. I've talked to an unaffiliated, AAA- dispatched, tow truck driver who told me that many of his customers specify Massey's as a destination, and to avoid another place in the neighborhood.

I have taken my cars to Massey a few times now. Each time they act quite professionally, work expediently and are pleasant to deal with. They didn't try to upsell any repairs or products. I felt that the prices were very reasonable. I had one experience with them that makes them stand out as exceedingly honest- I received a quote over the phone from them and had them do the repairs. When I went to pick it up, they said the total would be 300$ (some 25% more than quoted). When I pointed this out, they rationalized the extra expense, researched who had spoken to me, reviewed his notes and still stuck to the quoted price. They could have charged me the higher amount; the work had been done, the parts were purchased, the pricing for the extra repairs was competitive. However, they did not, at their expense. I will continue using Massey as long as I can.

I brought the car in to have some noises checked on the undercarriage. I wasn't informed there was a $40 inspection charge to do it, which is excessive. I can get a prepurchase inspection from other mechanics for $50. Next, they said it needed an alignment but charged $80 to do it while the more expensive shops were charging $60 and offering coupons. I didn't like that they forced me to get an overpriced alignment by blackmailing me with the inspection charge that they didn't inform me of. Quoted parts and labor for a future repair were super high also. My impression is they are price gouging and I won't go back.
