The operator of the shop was taught the business by his late father, who also did excellent work. You must make an appointment before you get service, but the shop will give you a good estimate of the costs if you let him have a quick look.

I first took my car to Mason Muffler expecting my entire
exhause system to need replacement. The noise was ungodly,
and the clouds of exhuast, from both the front and rear of
my vehicle, were extensive. My boyfriend had used Mason
Muffler for all his previous exhaust system needs and
praised them highly.
I made the necessary appointment, dropped my car off on the
appointed day, and waited to hear the verdict. Much to my
delighted surprise, I was told I did not need a new exhaust
at all, but only two pieces of hardware (of a bolt nature, I
can not recall the proper terminology) replaced. One piece
had been missing altogether and Mason Muffler replaced it at
no charge to me. The other piece was stripped and would
need to be bored out before it could be replaced, Mason
Muffler unfortunately did not handle work of this nature. I
had the work done at my regular mechanic's, and the repair
failed after only a few weeks. This time Mason Muffler was
able to handle the work, and I have not had a problem since.
Over the past weekend, however, my exhaust began making a
racket again, and inspection showed that the muffler itself
was badly rusted. I called Mason Muffler yesterday morning,
they made me an appointment for today, and I just got the
car back, purring like a kitten and costing me only $48.
