The Miller Brothers may also do more specialized repairs, I know they worked on a pinion seal and spark plugs on my car, but also know that they have done brake work on one of my professors cars. I am not really sure what all they do, but had heard that they are honest, fair and do good work from other students and professors at the University (and you know that we are probably all starving grad students, so they must be reasonable if we go there!) Any way, I was very pleased with the speed with which they finished the car, the cost, and the fact that the owners/mechanics explained the problems to me in detail, or enough detail for me. I was really happy to find that a small additional problem of an occassionally difficult motor to start on some mornings (meaning that I have to turn the engine over more than once---but only on occassion) is also fixed. I figured that since the problem was so sporadic it would take a while to find---but it's fixed too! A good job, well explained for a fair price!

Trey & Kenny Miller, of Miller Brothers Auto Service, are among the most competent, honest and helpful mechanics that my husband and I have encountered. They take the time to thoroughly explain the car's problems and solutions, and manage to make it comprehansible to the non-mechanically inclined. Over the years they have repaired three cars (2 Honda Civics and a 1965 Mustang) for us - always right the first time. We cannot recommend them strongly enough.

These guys are awesome!!! sadly, i've been the owner a few not so great cars over the past few years. an old ford van, a 84 toyota celica and now a 91 vw jetta that's fast becoming the biggest lemon of them all. Trey and Kenny have kept all my crappy cars running for the past four years and have always done so in a professional, friendly, and timely manner. they always take the time to explain the repairs and never fix things that don't need to be fixed (my old mechanic once told me i needed a new radiator when all i needed was a new radiator plug - that's when i found the miller bros.). i have sent at least 15 friends (people who drive crappy cars usually flock together) to them and they've all had good experiences. i can't recommend them enough. i just wish i didn't have to see them so much - my vw is over there right now! - Bob

When my 94 Ranger wouldn't start the dealership diagnosed almost $3000 of necessary repairs. After getting the Miller Brothers name off this web site, I called and discussed the problems on the phone. I was so impressed that I took the vehicle to them for a "2nd opinion". I ended up spending about $200 and have experienced no further problems (this occured 3 months ago). My wife has since brought her Accord in for repairs. They are very honest and will tell you what has to be done, what can probaly wait and what you could probably do yourself. I could not be more impressed with their willingness to spend extensive time on the phone explaining their findings. They have my highest reccomendation!!

Without question the finest couple of mechanics I have ever
dealt with. These guys are unbelieveable. They take down
everthing you tell them on a computer file, they respond to
each comment and they tell you in detail what needs to be
done now, what can be delayed and what you never have to
worry about. Each comes with a detailed cost estimate and
when they make a repair they either hit in the nose or, in
may cases, have come in low. I have witnessed them talking
people out of very expensive repairs in favor of less
costly options. They are keeping my '93 200k+ Explorer in
peak condition and running like a charm. The same for my
wife's Honda CRV.
In all my 50 plus years I used to cringe every time I took
a car in. I just knew I was getting screwed somehow. I have
never felt that way with Ken and Trey. And, by the way,
their shop is clean enough to perform surgery in. To my
mind a clear signal that they take a lot of pride in what
they are doing. I have hovered over Trey as he worked on
his own Vette in the shop when picking my car up on as
Saturday and was impressed. I think he is an engineer by
training and I know he worked for one of the oilers before
starting his business.
In short, I highly recommend Miller Bros. I even go out of
my way to take my car to them as they are across town from
where I live.

I have been taking my cars to the Miller Bros. for 5 years now - first a Dodge raider & then and Mitsubishi Eclipse. They have always been patient and honest regarding the work needed on my cars- they even replaced the engine on my eclipse at my request ( I don't think they thought it was such a great idea.) We refer all of our friends and business colleagues to them and hear good reviews from our referrals.

I'll admit I haven't dealt with very many mechanics, but I still think I am justified in saying that Trey and Kenny are willing to spend far more time than the average mechanic explaining what's wrong with your car, what they can do about it, and whether it's worth spending the money on. They're always honest and friendly, and they do the job right. They even bring out the old parts they've removed from your car to show you why they needed replacing. I couldn't be more satisfied.

This is a great shop! We have only lived in town for a few
years, and needed a shop to work on our Subaru Legacy. We
found Miller Bros. because of this service, and they were great.
Some things I particularly appreciate:
Anal retentive! When explaining the bills, they go into
incredible detail and explain the reasoning behind every
nut, bolt, and 15 minute labor block. I felt like I
understood very clearly what was happening to my car, and
why. They finished the work when they said it would be done.
Good with men and women. Both myself and my lady have taken
the car in, sometimes together, sometimes just one of us.
They treat both of us with the exact same respect and
honesty, even when we are alone.
Clean shop! Its not always true that a dirty shop is a bad
shop (I've been to some great but dirty mechanics), but a
clean shop does show a level of dedication. These guys keep
a spotless office, and clean organized work areas, they are
obviously on top of things. They are in a nice neighborhood,
very near our house. In fact, we can walk over to pick up
our car (and feel safe doing it).
Their prices have always been reasonable too. When having CV
boot issues, they were very straight with us on the work
being done, worked hard to keep the labor as small as
possible, and didn't take the obvious opportunity to trick
us into a lot of extra work. Reasonable shop rates, and
clear explanations of why everything is being done makes me
feel good about the bill.
A final story.. I had loaded a huge load of firewood into
the car preparing for a trip, but at the last minute, our
check engine light was coming on. We decided to take it in
to have it looked at. We got a call later that day saying
that they took a look at the car, but couldn't proceed
because of all the bugs they were finding. At first we
thought bugs meaning problems, but it turns out that the
wood I put in had a wasps nest in it, and the car was now
infested with wasps, nearly stinging their techs. I came
over all bundled up, cleaned out the wasps nest and
exterminated the car for them. They could have just said,
'get the hell out of here you crazy man' but they took it
all with great humor and stride, and took care of the car as
soon as I had gotten the wasps out.

They are a really great shop. As the other posters mentions, it is extremely clean
and all the mechanics are extremely knowledgeable. It is also in a safe
neighbrhood in U. City. They are very thorough in their work, and told me what
possible repairs I will need in the future based on what they saw as they were
fixing my car. Additionally, they give you an itemized invoice telling you every
little detail of what they did in a language that is very easy to understand.
