He is Italian what else can a say, you Gumba. He is real honest. When he does work on the car he always saves the bad part that he replaced to show you why this is the problem, why it is bad, why it went wrong and then pitches or recylces it. I know this because I have seen him do the work.

This shop is so good that I have sent all of my family members there for any automotive problems they have had, and they have all been completely satisfied. Ribaudo's has found and fixed problems that new car dealerships have been unable to fix or repair. I have sent friends and neighbors there, and they have all been delighted. I have not found any mechanic or shop to come near equalling this place for competency, reasonableness and the quality of work. This is truely a master mechanic who cares about his customers.

They are NOT Bailing Wire and Duct Tape mechanics, BUT if you want it fixed right, and are willing to pay a FAIR price. They are Aces. When I had my 1 (one) work truck Towed in, They pulled a car out of a bay, to work on mine, because they knew I needed it NOW. Got it back in 2 hours, at a reasonable price. I'm sure he has a boat, but I didn't have to pay ALL of this month's payment.

We were in St. Louis on vacation and had an alarming grinding noise in the steering. We found Mr. Ribaud on this site and dropped the car off there expecting an expensive repair of the power steering or cv joints. He called the next day and said he could not find anything wrong except that the tires were very low, so he filled them up and went for a long drive on the highway. No noise! We were incredulous. So we drove it around the neighborhood and found he was right, no more grinding noise, and there has been none since then. He didn't want to charge us anything even for his time. We had to make him take $20! Saint, Magician, or both? Wish he lived in Springfield. Lessons: use the tire gauge, you can't tell by looking; there are some really nice people who are also good mechanics.

The shop is still there in 2019! He mentioned a thought of retirement on Facebook, but when I asked, he explained that he'll still be around, just shorter/fewer hours. We've been going there since the shop next door closed (the guy died), and Sam corrected several errors that previous guy had made. Always been friendly and fast.
