They generally get it right the first time, but not always.
They do explain what they're going to do before the work is
done. They are expensive, especially considering it is a
non-union shop. The work area and waiting area is always
very clean. I trust them to fix what's wrong, but it can
cost more than a dealership mechanic.

Being very picky about where I get my car fixed, it took me
a while to find a shop I could like and trust in this area.
I found Northtown on a recommendation from a friend who is
a 20+ year master mechanic for a Lexus dealer - in his
opinion, it's the best shop in the area.
I've gone to Northtown for over three years now and have
found their prices to be reasonable, work done well, and they
are honest - I've had them tell me, multiple times, that
work I wanted done wasn't necessary and to save the money.
That speaks volumes to me.
Only real negatives are that they're not open on Saturdays
and it can be tough to get a loaner. Otherwise, I highly
recommend.
