Sharp's set me straight on several issues with my '74
Beetle, giving me so much advice and charging so little for
repairs that I was half-convinced they were trying to run
themselves out of business. Not only was I told exactly why
and by how much previous mechanics had swindled me, but also
how to fix a lot of problems myself. And on top of that the
head mechanic gave me his phone # to call at any time I need
a walk-through on a problem. I wish there were more shops
like this out there--I was amazed at the candor and
generosity of their help.

I took a 1963 VW I was looking at purchasing here for a check-up, not being that familiar with VWs in general. The guy (I am terrible with names) really took care in looking over the car and caught some stuff I would have never known to look for and didn't try to hit either me or the owner up for repairs or anything like that. I would have no reservations about bring the vehicle there for repairs and truly wish I lived closer. I ended up feeling much better about purchasing the vehicle and haven't found any surprises yet.
