Tim's the best. Scrupulously honest, won't do any work that doesn't need to be done, is reasonably priced, loves Hondas, fun to talk to, leaves my car cleaner than when I left it. Sometimes he gets overbooked, but that's a good sign... Wish more of my friends lived nearby so I could send him extra business.

The fact that they don't have a fancy sign and their street is really an ally was my first clue that they are good - You couldn't find them unless someone sent you to them. They diagnosed my brakes and did what needed to be done the old fashioned way (not the "stick a bunch of expensive parts in here cuz somethin's broke" you get at the well know shops). I, a woman who DOES know something about my car, usually hate taking my care to a shop, but these guys are different.

I drive a 19-year old Honda Accord. And apart from the usual wear and tear, it's in remarkable condition. At least I'd like to think so. Tim "gets" this car, and understands why it's special. Before taking the car to Tim, I took it to one of the best shops in the Twin Cities area. This place recommended several repairs: engine block mounts, new clutch, stabilizer bar bushings, etc., expensive repairs that tip the balance towards junking the car. But I wanted a second opinion, and, so, I took it to Dynotech. And I've been smiling ever since. Tim dismissed these recommendations and, because he knows Hondas, explained, patiently, why they don't apply. He even adjusted my clutch for free. The car drives great ... at least for a 19-year old car with close to 200,000 miles on it ... and which has taken me across the country within the last couple of months. Tim thinks that with care, the car should last a few more years. He loves Hondas, and Audis, and Jags ... whatever. If you have a car you love, take it to Tim and he will love it too.

Tim is an excellent car mechanic. He will treat your car like his own. He is the most honest car mechanic I have ever known.

I've taken my car (94 Civic) into Tim several times. Every time he's patiently listened to the "symptoms" and explained my options and his advice before proceeding. As a nonexpert (and a woman), I appreciate that he is willing to pursue the less drastic (and expensive) options before simply replacing parts (even if that has to happen in the end). While sometimes the service takes longer than I expect, it is still a very pleasant experience working with Tim (as pleasant as auto repair can be). And one time, a minor part broke while in his shop, and he was quick to obtain the part and replace it for free.

Wonderful, personable, honest, skilled mechanics. Got a lot of work done for not as much $ as I anticipated. Very thorough.

Great shop. Was thrilled to work on my Honda Insight. Fixed a problem the dealer could not. Took my wife's Subaru back for a 60,000 mile service. Saved over $500 from what the Subaru dealer quoted for the same service. Highly recommend!

A very honest mechanic. They let you know what needs to be done and what can wait to be repaired. Very reasonable priced and does great work. I would recommend to all my friends.

You know that you're working with a trustworthy mechanic when they talk you out of having certain repairs done. As long as I'm in the Twin Cities, Tim and his son Josh are my go-to guys.
