Nick was able to fix my Camry's transmission problem in a couple of hours, after I had it towed from the Amoco down the street, where the car had languished for days because the incompetents there could do nothing more than scratch their heads. He has advised me against costly repairs, citing them unnecessary, and has test driven and checked out my friend's potential car purchases for free. The bonus is, he is a really handsome guy! It is such a relief to find an honest and dependable mechanic. I'm a loyal customer for as long as I'm able to drive.

These guys are extremely speedy - they've been able to fix my car within hours, even if I didn't need it back that quickly! They were also very straightforward about what repairs I absolutely needed to make and what I could delay a little longer, and they never tried to talk me into imaginary repairs I don't need. Their prices have been better by at least 30% than any other mechanic I have asked. I don't even bother checking around anymore. Location on Hennepin is a ten minute bus ride from downtown.

These guys do excellent work and are a real asset to the neighborhood, in their little hideaway behind some storefronts off Hennepin Ave. and 24th St. They're very capable mechanics who seem to have a pretty devoted neighborhood following. In my experience they've always been more than willing to provide information and advice, whether it meant doing repairs or not.

I've gone there for many years and have received good and
expedient service for a reasonable price. Also, Nick has
told me when I don't need to spend the money to fix
something and just let it go.

I've only worked with Nick, but he's great. Competent, fast,
and jaw-droppingly honest and straightforward. We've
recommended him to several friends and they all love the guy.

Every time I call and say "It's me with the old ------(car)"
Nick knows who "me" is and seems to remember whatever came
up the last time I brought it in. He's got to be the most
honest mechanic anywhere, having talked me out of several
repairs or figured out a good partial solution to doing an
entire unnecessary overhaul, even going so far as to talk
himself out of doing work and, thus, make more money.
Sometimes, I've had to convince him to do the job, and that
it's worth it to keep my old car running.
This, in stark contrast to Quality Coaches, where I've taken
my car in the past, and who've milked me for unspeakable
amounts of money while somehow managing to do absolutely
nothing. (Yeah, QC, maybe you remember the two jobs you did
to "fix" my horn, and somehow charged me twice for parts and
labor without fixing anything; I've never been so execrably
swindled in my life.)
These guys are as honest as they come, and always give me an
estimate and wait for my go-ahead to do the work. I can't
say enough how much I appreciate them. I went to them with
my very first car (an old junker) on the recommendation of
someone else with an old contentious vehicle, and then, for
some reason, I shopped around to other mechanics (I was
young, and figured it'd be good to check around). I'll never
take my car anywhere else as long as Isles is around. The
work gets done right and for amazingly reasonable prices.
Thanks, Nick! You rock! Karma's got your back!
