Miller's Modern Garage is THE best in Mankato! I first went to Joe on the recommendation of a friend, and now will not take my vehicles anywhere else. Very honest, trustworthy, reasonable prices...what more could you ask for? And they even play classical music in the shop and waiting room!

I was referred to Joe by O'Reilly's and am delighted to have found him (his shop is barely visible from the street). He installed two drive axles on my Villager that I decided I couldn't do myself when I couldn't budge the hub axle nuts. He got the work done quickly, and the price was less than I had been quoted by another shop. Also, and I can't say why exactly, I just got a good feeling about his operation.

Joe is the owner of Miller's Modern garage. I have brought two Geo Metros, one Buick sedan, one Ford pickup and one Chevy van there for service over the last ten years. I have always gotten an honest estimate. I have gotten the work done in a timely manner. The price charged is very reasonable for working class people. I have gotten a truthful statement about work (he tells you if something is not needed/cost prohibitive) needing to be done. Not fancy, no tv's etc in the waiting area, but he has a car-talk book in his waiting area if you get bored! In my 25-plus years of needing a mechanic, I feel lucky to have found Joe when I did.

Joe, Ken and the rest of the guys at Miller's Modern Garage have always been a pleasure to deal with. The shop waiting area isn't fancy but it's clean and they have a shop kitty (and a lint roller!). The shop music is MPR Classical. But most important of all they are honest and don't try to pull the wool over a woman's eyes. For the repair they are currently working on they originally thought it was a $1500+ problem but after they got into it more it became a mere $400. While my car was there the starter acted up for them (as it had for me two times) so they replaced that too. Add in an overdue oil change and I'm going to get out of there for around $800.
