I've dealt with South Import since they opened back in the Dark Ages. They used to fix my chariot. My most recent example probably says a lot about how they operate. I had a noisy rear shock on my 1994 Camry (at 45,000 miles) and brought it in with the thought that it might be about time for new shocks. Right away they said it was highly unlikely that a Camry shock would be bad at 40,000 miles. They told me to come back in two hours. When I returned, the noise was gone. They had taken it for a test drive, found a noisy bushing, injected some lubricant, and it was fine. The charge? Zero. "It was just a five minute drive and a drop of grease. I don't want to charge you for that." I couldn't answer about how they handle their mistakes because I've never experienced one with them. They always explain whatever they do very well, and I've never found them lacking a good answer about a Toyota, Mazda, or Nissan. They're not cheap, but prices are fair and they get it right the first time without feeding you a snow job (easy to do in Minnesota).

I have used this company for 20 years. They have worked on a Mazda, Subaru and Honda during that time. I love this place. They are friendly, honest and always willing to take the time to explain things to me or give me counsel on a car issue. They're right up there along with my doctor in terms of importance to me.

I have eight different cars that I have taken to them (toyota & Honda) and have always been satisfied with their work. They always give me options and are able to explain alternatives. Their price might seem high but take it to a dealer and you realize they are actually a bargin.
