After the local Jeep Dealer broke the last support holding up my tail pipe and then told me it would take $450 to replace, Midas jerry rigged a suport that last a year, for free. The deal fixed the squeek in my belts by spraying WD-40 on them, which lasted a week, but failed to check the power steering fluid level, as Len did at Midas, and that problem went away too. The dealer failed to spot a leaking suspension bar, which Midas did, and I had them fix that later because they told me I should get it done, but it didn't need to be done today. They've branched out from mufflers and brakes because they recognise that the local dealers are substandard, and I recommend them highly.

The shop is now known as Bayview Car Care. This is my first visit to this shop and I was very pleased. The main mechanic, Ron, is a former Subaru Dealer mechanic which was quite evident. My 02 Subaru needed a rear wheel bearing replaced. While working on the bearing he found the brake caliper leaking and recommended its replacement which I confirmed and approved its replacement. Ron found a front differential leak which had been sporadically leaking drips on the exhaust pipe. He took the time to field my questions which enhanced his competence. I will definitely take my car back to this shop when repairs are needed. I found the shop owner on site attending to his business. I'm lead to believe the shop's expertise extends beyond Subaru's to other makes and models.
