We were introduced to Jim when he was doing a favor for the transmission shop down the road. He spent hours researching the problem our minivan was having, for no monetary gain- just doing a good turn for his associate down the street. We were impressed, and gave him a few problems that had been checked out by our then current mechanic, with whom we had become increasingly dissatisfied. In particular, there were two repairs we had been told we needed, for a total of over $1000. Instead of replacing the radiator, he put a new cap on for $15 and we haven't had a problem since. I don't remember the other one, but it was less than $100. We've been taking our vehicles to him ever since, and he's done a great job. If it's not a safety issue, and it's not worth repairing on our 14 yr old truck, he tells us. He's been fantastic. I trust him more than I have any other mechanic we've worked with.

Jim Meltinos used to work at Wesners in Buchanan, MI and we really liked him then as he kept our fleet of old beaters on the road. A couple of years ago he moved out to be on his own and we followed him for our repair work even though it was not nearly as convenient. He has always been honest about the repairs that were needed and how much they all would cost. He never quoted us a price and then went over it. He always calls to discuss what he has found if it is something he didn't expect to find. He has worked on 4 of our vehicles over the years and I can't say enough good stuff about his work. 5 STARS!
