Mike (one of the two owners) works on my turbodiesel ford E- 350 van. He is very experienced, very fast ( no extra moves here!) and very thorough. He allows me to watch, and question.

I was referred to Rick after going to the Pontiac dealer for maintenance and getting my car back with a serious transmission jerk at low speeds (taking off, backing up). Dealer denied responsibility and could not diagnose the problem - conclusion: that my transmission needed to be torn down to the tune of $500 (just the price to take it apart!). Rick had my car fixed in no time for about $40. He is honest and will continue to have my business. With 132k miles on my car, they will probably see me with increasing frequency!

With Howell Auto repair you don't feel that your wallet is
going to be hit hard. Even for a costly job like pulling
the dash to replace an evaperator they were hundreds less
than the local Dodge dealers. Fixed my Jeep, new radiator
and later replaced the heater door actuator for a
reasonable cost. Good guys in a field of incompetents.
I rarely trust mechanics but these guys are A-OK.

I first started taking my cars to Howell Auto Center 9 years
ago. At that time, another shop had estimated that my 1994
Oldsmobile needed over $600 in rear brake repairs, it didn't
seem right to me. I took my car to Howell Auto and Rick and
Jeff got my car fixed for under $100. I owned the car for
another 3+ years and never needed another repair on the rear
brakes, so I know they fixed it right! Needless to say, I
became a customer for life!
Over the years I have become a hero to friends by
recommending this shop as they have had similar experiences.
It's hard to find a competent and trustworthy shop, I just
wish I had found Howell Auto years earlier. They are the best!
