jerry is the manager and chief mechanic for the repair
section of the station and jeff is his backup. my father was
a automotive and heavy diesel truck repair legend in
northwest iowa and northeast minnesota during the 1950's and
1960's and is the best diagnostician/repairman i have ever
known. jerry is among the 2 or 3 best in those categories
that i have encountered since i left home for college in
1966. i have owned a volvo 1800es, lotus turbo esprit,
lincoln lsc, datsun 1600 roadster, 1960 ford fairlane with a
406 police interceptor engine, and many more. i include this
to let you know that i have had several cars that required
top-flight maintenance and have always done a survey for a
great mechanic in any area i moved to. i have lived all over
the united states.
jeff, jerry's assistant manager, is also a very good
mechanic and the others that jerry has working for him are
also good.
i currently own a near-mint-condition 1992 taurus sho. jerry
works on it personally as he loves performance cars.
the prices are very competitive and the work is done well
and yet quickly. they stick to their estimates. if they
discover hidden problems while working on the car, they
always stop work and call to let the customer know what has
been discovered, the alternatives available to solve the
problem(s), and how much it will cost to do the additional
work. as they are extremely thorough at working on causes
rather than symptoms, it is rare for them to discover
additional work.
