Had my 2000 F-150 serviced at 60K miles: brakes, engine tune up, ATF fluid and filter replaced, and a LOF. All work completed on time and with exceptional workmanship. No follow up visits to "adjust" or otherwise remediate any errors with their work. All fluids wiped down from under vehicle, without my asking [ I hate drips on my garage floor :<( ] Shop rates are not cheap, but I guess there is a price to pay for competence. Quality of the experience far exceeded that which I have endured at several of the local Ford dealers. Based upon my single transaction, I give BBAC an unequivacal recommendation.

As a female customer, I have always felt like these guys
were helping me fix my car .... not empty my checking
account. They even filled my coolant reservoir, and told me
to come back in a couple days, we could check to see what
happens, and then repair the car based on what happens.
Then I lost no coolant ... so they did not charge me
anything. Definitely on the "good guy" list :-)
P.S. - They are the same shop with their name listed 2
different ways on your web page.

My old mechanic told me about this shop when he lost his
lease. They work with me on keeping my older cars in good
repair. My old mechanic now has a new location, and I am
staying loyal to Bill Brown Auto Clinic. They are almost
never the cheapest, but they almost always fix the car
right the first time.

My wife has a Toyota Corolla (2001) and she was complaining
of a "chemical" smell in the car especially first thing in
the mornings when it has been standing for the whole night.
I sniffed around and thought I could smell something too but
wasn't really sure. Nothing was leaking on first inspection.
We got BBAC from the car-talk web-site and took the car to
them. The mechanic was polite and agreed to look at it even
though our description of the problem was quite vague. He
couldn't smell anything, but he did locate a can of
windshield wiper fluid in our trunk. It hadn't leaked but he
said to take it out just in case. We agreed to leave the car
in his lot for a day for him to check the smell after the
car has been standing for a while. We went back in the
evening and there was no smell. It must have been the wiper
fluid can. He didn't charge us anything. But their rates are
not cheap. They quoted almost the same as the dealer to
replace the headlight lamp. We got that done ourselves.

Extremely honest. Local shop in business since 1949 with
friendly, competant mechanics. Owners active in the
community as volunteers and service club members.
Original owner still comes in to work on classic cars
( need your 37 Cadillac repaired ? )
Been customer for 20 years and never a problem. NO CHARGE
to change air in tires from Winter air to Spring to Summer
to Fall ( they have a sense of humor too ).

Mike has always been very helpful to me. He explains things
clearly and the alternatives available (and cost of each).
I appreciate that he distinguishes between what 'needs' to
be done and what can wait (and how long). My only
suggestion: pave the driveway (gets muddy).

Another reviewer has already said this, but it's true nonetheless: These folks are extremely honest and forthright. They'll tell you what needs to be done right now and what you can wait on. They were recommended by close friends who feel the same way we do so this review counts twice! :) They are not cheap, but the money is worth it to know you've gotten expert work that's really necessary.
