To my enormous chagrin, my 1998 Audi A6 failed its inspection in DC-- it turns out one of the CV boots had split. AutoWerke fixed it within 24 hours and for the estimated price, also providing a prioritized list of future work to be done. I was able to have the car reinspected successfully and drive home for an upcoming holiday weekend thanks to Anthony and his excellent team.

Took our Audi A4 to have the reason for no heat diagnosed and repaired. Very friendly and cordial. They also suggested that the timing belt be replaced as the vehicle had 90,000 miles. Timing belt work done for 15% more than the local Audi dealership. Heat not fixed first time. Had to bring back and problem was successfully diagnosed and fixed the second time. Not recharged for diagnosis ($160.00) the second time. Bottom line: Professional, honest but not inexpensive.

I went in for the first time for a brake inspection. They showed me my front disks and that they were fine and told me my rear brakes were fine. I had been having horrible screeching and grinding noises when I was braking. They cleaned the pads, put a compound on the pads and gave me some ideas to consider for diagnosing if the problem returns or is worse. Then they did not charge me for the inspection or cleaning. What most impressed me was their willingness to really understand the problem and explain what they saw when all I had come in for was an inspection, not even work to be done. They took the time to really help me.

Always polite and pleasant to deal with. Staff seems to consist of guys who are really into the cars they service. Dave, the owner, hires like Bill Belichick. :-)

I moved to the DC area this past summer and was concerned about being able to find someone knowledgable, competent, and reasonable to work on my not enirely trouble free A6 2.7T. I found AutoWerke through the Car Talk web site and, after talking to Anthony and Dave about the issues I had with my car, decided to give them a try. I was most pleased with the service, the cost, the expertise, and the enthusiasm that the people there have for the cars. They know these finicky, complex cars very well and were able to diagnose and deal with the ongoing needs promptly, efficiently, and for a lot less than a dealer would have cost. Throughout the experience they explained what was going on, what needed to be done, and what they were doing. No mystery, no surprises. Service the way it should be. I give this place a strong thumbs up and plan to go there with all my maintenance and service needs for my other car as well.

The folks at AutoWerke are wonderful. I moved to the DC area with my "new" used Volkswagen and didn't know a thing. The guys at this shop really took care of me. My car turned out to be a real piece of junk and AutoWerke's mechanics, particularly Anthony, really helped me out. They went above and beyond to make sure I understood the repairs, they found me good deals, and worked hard to keep me from coming back. I am so sorry I moved and couldn't take them with me. Dave even called and recommended a new mechanic in my new state! Love em'.

I have a 1997 Audi A4 2.8 quattro 5-sp. I have been scouring many internet forums to find a reliable shop in DC/Baltimore area to work on this unreliable car, that is how I ended up here. I guess now is the time for my payback to the greater good. After trying out many independent places & couple of "Audi Stealers" likes of Tischer, LenStoler & Rockville now I have been going to Autowerke. They are the best I have had till now. The owner Dave, who is an enthusiast himself – SCCA etc, is a very honest guy and never recommended anything extra. Manager Anthony (Corrado fanatic) is also very helpful, accommodating, and seams to be genuinely interested in VW, Audi & BMW. Valenti, who works on the my car is a real knowledgeable, enthusiastic and honest fellow. He has patiently gone on Test Drives with me to diagnose the noises. He has never recommended any repair that was not absolutely necessary. They have guided me to schedule/postpone the repairs that are not absolutely critical so I can budget for them. My only gripe is that they do not have Sat hours – but then need a life too. Location is not very convenient for me drop/pick my car but a small price to pay. In short I am quite pleased with these guys – even though I am pissed at the reliability of Audi, specially the stupid leaks from sub-standard gaskets & seals installed by this supposedly high-end manufacturer. Disclaimer: This is completely unsolicited. I was just one of the poor souls like you scouring the internet, reading posts looking for a reliable shop. For now I seem to have found it.
