Bryan and Steve are congenial , knowledgable ,competent
and truthful. All repairs are reasonably priced done right
the first time .
I must say , while waiting my turn to be waited on, I
couldn't help but notice how the other customers , while
talking to either Bryan or Steve , more resemble happy
pets talking to their beloved master. They are practically
wagging their tails ! One customer was relating a story of
a dealer dodge of an uneccessary brake job. Bryan
assurred him his brake pads were fine , no more than half
worn and doing fine.
These guys are jewels . I hope they don't read this and
get big heads!!!! Tom Columbia ,Md.

I found FAE through the Car-Talk mechanics file. I called
them because the "check engine light" was on for no
discernible reason. Steve agreed to check it first thing
the next day for me, and then order parts if needed. The
check was done quickly; they believed that my off-market
gas cap was causing the problem. NO CHARGE FOR THE CHECK.
The gas cap was ordered, arrived the same day, and I
picked it up the next morning. Brian put on the cap, said
to call him and let him know if that fixed the problem. NO
CHARGE FOR THE GAS CAP UNTIL I AM SATISFIED.
As a woman, I especially appreciate mechanics who are
courteous, explain the situation to me, and don't
patronize me. Steve and Brian have gone way beyond fair in
their treatment of me.

I basically agree with everything that others have said.
These guys are the first truly honest mechanics that I have
ever encountered. I have asked to have parts replaced at a
specific interval, just for the piece of mind, and they
have actively talked me out of it because the part wasn't
too worn. You want them taking care of your car.

This shop is great. They definitely know what they are
doing, explain what needs to be done clearly, and let you
know what the consequences of not doing the work is. They
also seem to UNDERCHARGE! I expected to pay $450-500 for
the work I had done, based on their estimate, but I paid
less than $300. (Yes, they did do all the work...) I
highly recommend them.

Solid, competent, nice guys. I recommend without reservation.

Just wanted to add that I heard about these guys from a co-
worker and now my whole group of friends go there. I
overheard one customer say he moved to the Eastern Shore
(hours away) but that he still uses Foreign Auto Experts
because the service is so good (most importantly honest
and fair priced).

Bryan and Steve are true gentlemen . Always take time to
talk to you. They gave excellent advise to my daughter
on buying a car. (Of course , she wouldn't listen to Dear
old Dad.). That was a true comfort in these days. They are
excellent diagnosticians. Their prices are fair. Now we
have to find a way to lengthen their life spans or clone
them .!!!

They were very kind and helpful when I came in. I am a
female and I know very little about cars. They explained
things to me and made me feel comfortable. The price seemed
pretty reasonable. They're open 7:30 to 6 I think, so its
easy to drop off your car before or after work. The road it
is on is kind of weird, its a dead end road with a truck
yard and the shop is all the way at the end of the road. I
was a little nervous going in, but the people were extremely
helpful. Their address isn't #C though. It doesn't seem to
have a door number. It's on the left of the strip.

Moving to a new town (something I've done lots) involves a
great deal of anxiety-producing tasks. One is finding a
mechanic. I found these guys on this site and agree with the
positive comments others have written.
First, these guys have a sense of humor and I felt
comfortable talking to them. Second, they welcomed me like a
guest, not just a customer - and the LISTENED TO ME. Third,
they were honest. They could have sold me a new alternator
(which is under warranty but in a different state
unfortunately); what the did was identify the REAL problem -
a broken (and gone) alternator belt. Cost difference of
about $300...I referred my best friend to them and would let
them fix my daughter's car - and I would recommend them again.

Brian and Steve have always been willing to answer any
question and make only needed repairs. They are very
honest about what repairs your car needs and what it
doesn't need. I would highly recommend them.
