Great shop. Used by almost everyone in my laboratory (10-20 foreign car owners).

Shuttle service is available to within a 5 mile radius of shop. Not hard to get information from them about repair details and status. I believe the advice they gave me ultimately saved me money.

If you are looking for a reliable mechanic this is the place to go. These guys are NOT rip-off artists, so you can trust what they say and the work they do. I'm sure they are not the cheapest place to go, but I've never had a bill that is unreasonable, and the price they charge for parts is right on par with the local parts stores.

I got my 1988 Honda Accord from my parents about five years ago. At 190,000 miles, my Mom rode in the car the other day and said she thought it was driving better than it ever had and she always liked the car and its performance. I have no complaints and am glad that Rising Sun has done such a great job of maintaining the vehicle. I would not let anyone else touch the my Honda.

I actually find this repair shop on the basis of the prior reviews posted on this web site, and can attest to their effectiveness as a predictor of good service. Long story short: I live 31 miles from my job at College Park; drive in early in the morning; my car, w/c.200,000 miles on it had been humming along one morning, when, at the intersection shortly before where I park, the car gave out; would not crank. Pushed it to the nearest parking lot and thus began my search. I've never lived in or close to College Park and so have never needed a mechanic. Found these guys on your web site. Knew they were probably pretty good when they told me the earliest they could see me was 11 days later. Of course, they squeezed me into their schedule in only 5 days. When they got to the car they provided me with a laundry list of items that needed repair, but understood when I deferred on all but the most essential, which turned out to be a shot alternator. Throughout the process both Dawn and Denise very patiently and helpfully apprised me of the situation and the probable date of repair. Plus, in the end, they found a way to ease the pain on my emergency bill. I would highly recommend this shop and its employees to anyone in the area needing a repair. And I would definitely insist on them in the event of an emergency breakdown.

I have been taking my Japanese cars (a Celica, a Supra, and most recently my 300ZX, which has 97,000 on the clock and runs better than when new) to Doug Wolfe for going on 20 years. The longer you patronize this outfit, the better they get.

I've been going to Rising Sun for almost 20 years with two different Subarus. Their current location is not as convenient for me as their previous one, but it's in a pretty good location. I have always found them to be honest, and usually the bill ends up being less than their estimate. They are certainly much cheaper than any dealer. They are always very professional, taking the time to answer questions. I have recommended them to several of my Japanese car-drving friends, and none have ever been disappointed My only wish is that Rising Sun could be open at least one Saturday a month for things like oil changes and minor repairs. I no longer work where I can take Rising Sun's shuttle or public transport, so it is difficult for me to use them as much as I used to. But I still go there for major repairs or mileage services.

They do good work, but they are pricier than other competent shops in the area. I alternate back and forth between Rising Sun and another shop; as a result I trust both of them a lot more, since every time one place has found something wrong the other place has independently confirmed it.

Have done business with them fo many years. Straight forward, honest, and accept responsibility for improper work. Staff helpful. Prices fair, I live only a few miles away so they are very convient. I would not go anywhere else.
