Bill worked on my old Toyota that had over 100,000 miles. I
had taken it many places previously and always felt I was
overcharged and being ripped off. In the past there were
problems that had never been properly taken care of because
they "fixed" and charged me for other things but never
fixed the problem, or I had been quoted outrageous prices
for what they "thought" was the problem.
Took the car to Tydings, Bill diagnosed the problem
correctly, fixed the problem, and it didn't cost a fortune.
Tydings kept that car alive for another 50,000 miles. (Then
I gave it to my daughter in another state and never saw the
car again. Nothing to do with Tydings.)

Bill and Vernel are two of the most honest people I have
ever dealt with. Their work is unparalleled and their
attention to customers is even better. They have done
several repairs to my 1995 Mercedes E300D and have saved
me thousands over other quotes. I now live in PA and am
considering driving 1.5 hours one way for continued
service. Make them your first and only call.

I met Bill in the early 80s through a mutual friend, bought
a car from him later that decade, drove it for years. Moved
to his region from far away and Bill and Vernel became my
mechanics for any vehicle in my family or among my circle of
friends. They know cars like I know what I know best. If I
ask for an explanation, they give it to me. This level of
mechanical knowledge, honesty and commitment to service are
a rare find, Diogenes could have set his lantern down at
this shop.

Unfortunately the band split up. In coming weeks I'll get more information on their whereabouts.
