Annapolis Amoco came highly recommended to me. I have a 1987 Chevy Suburban with 162,000 miles on it and I'm assuming that it will never die. I have had miserable luck with a dealership, but good luck with a mechanic in CT who I found on car talk. These guys took me in the very next day. They gave me an extimate and were pretty close to that total -- I had indicated that I just wanted things fixed. The truck purrs and as an added bonus, I think they fixed the annoying sound from the speedometer chain. Greg was very courteous and had the car finished by mid- afternoon. What luck! They are a few doors down from my office. I highly recommend!!!!

This shop recently completed a very difficult problem to diagnose on my aged Ford Escort SW. The first guess was that it was a clutch problem, but it turned out to be a bearing in my transmission. This is an expensive and difficult repair because finding the parts for a 1995 Ford have proved difficult more than once for my car. I highly recommend the mechanic working my car, James, who called me sometimes with daily updates while he was searching for the parts. He actually hoped he could just replace the bearing and not the whole transmission, but was simply unable to find a supplier for the bearing. That's Ford's problem, not his, because this is not the first time a reliable mechanic has had problems locating parts for me. Anyway, the upshot is that my car has a clean, used transmission and the parts and labor came under the price James estimated. I'm very satisfied with my repair and want others to know about this shop!
