Bart has a really well established operation; having been in business going on 20 years. He and his staff are extremely fair & competent. They know the vehicles they work on. I feel very comfortable recommending Quantum Mechanics to my friends.

What can I say? 8 years of fine service allowed me to keep my old 1986 Honda Civic for 183,000 miles and 12 years. It was a very hard decision to replace the old Civic with a Subaru this year because I will lose Bart's services. His talents were the main reason my significant other _did_ replace his old 1985 Civic this year with a 1997 model! But book in advance because people will drive 40 miles to take their car to Quantum Mechanics. They are less busy in the winter, summers are nuts (this is Cape Cod, after all). And I should add that the rest of the staff (Elaine, Red and John??) are great too! I will miss the service and hope to find as good a Subaru mechanic, or be stuck doing it all myself! Marinna

We (me and my two sons) have all owned Hondas and had Bart and crew work on them for the last 6-7 years. They are very knowledgable, honest and all those things you want in a car shop. He kept one sons Honda going for over 350,000 mi. My other son comes from NY city to have his work done. If you have a Honda or Saab, go to Bart.

In 1979, I had a Saab 96, the red jelly bean, and Bart took
the best care of all this car's troubles. In 1986, I
upgraded to a Saab 900, and again Bart took care of us, then
in 1991, I had a mid-life episode, and bought a 1990 Saab
9000 turbo, with all the bells & whistles. I've had that car
14 years and once again Bart has been there at a moments
notice. I've even been able to have my car towed there
without asking for an appointment and Quantum/Bart has taken
care of me like family. So for over 24 years, I've trusted
QM completely and they have never let me down. I don't even
ask how much it's going to cost, as I know the price will be
fair and the work done by a true expert.
I live in Milwaukee now and am homesick for Quantum Mechanics.

Bart makes owning a SAAB(or a Honda, but they don't require
repairs) worthwhile. He is smart and ready to pull you under
the car whilst it's on the lift to show you the issue at
hand. He is totally trustworthy and an excellent mechanic.

Phone calls are responded to in a timely manner. On one
occassion Bart helped me get started again by using a paper
clip to take the place of a faulty relay, following which I
drove directly to his place of business.
He goes into great detail to help me understand what needs
repair and always shows me the parts which are replaced.
The shop music is always on and is always classical.
Bart INSISTS that one make an appointment before coming in!
This helps him run an efficient shop.
Hires first rate assistants.

I went to see Bart based upon the previous notes her,e & I
was more than happy with the results, his demeanor, his
explanations and his charges. He also has a really
fascinating bulletin board.

I took my Saab to a local motor car place to have a pulsing
sound diagnosed/fixed. First they replaced wheel bearings,
which didn't fix the problem, then they thought it was a
bearing in the transmission and wanted to replace the
transmission (only 70,000 on my car). At that point I
wanted a Saab mechanic looking at my car. Bart at Quantum
Mechanics was recommended to me by other Saab drivers. He
and I took my car for a test drive and then he had it on
the lift for about 5 minutes before he showed me that there
was a flat spot in one of my tires. He put his own tire on
and we took it for another test drive...the noise was gone.
I could have saved $500 by going straight to him in the
first place. Even though he is about 45 minutes from me, it
is WELL worth the drive to have a Saab expert fixing my
car. I won't have anyone else touch it now. I learned my
lesson.

I like that this mechanic takes me under my car and shows me what he did. He
also is fast and has very reasonable prices.

Both Bart & Jon are both intelligent and capable mechanics, extremely well versed in Saabs. (I can't speak to their knowledge of Hondas, in which this garage also specializes.) They have been extremely accommodating when I've contacted them with emergencies, but also entirely reliable in following through on promised completion times for all scheduled service and repairs. They've always discovered the cause of a problem/complaint quickly and made the fix the first time. I've never paid for a part or shop hours and not had the complaint remedied. And Quantum's rates are more than reasonable, including prices of parts, which are always top quality, whether OEM or reputable brand name suppliers. A very good shop.
