Jim and Paul do a great job but, as with many good garages run by a couple of guys, they tend to take on too much work at times; therefore, timliness can sometimes be a problem. A generic comment/question: I bought my '89 Jeep Cherokee new in Nov. '88 once I secured a decent job after college. I have just over 195,000 miles in over 9 years - on a Jeep, without a major problem: what's up with that?

They have worked on my family's 3 cars (2 Toyotas, 1 GMC
truck) over the last 3 years and they have always done a
great job.

Their only faults are time management. I called on a
Thursday Jim said call a week later, okay I thought fine.
I call a week later and still nothing. When they do get
around to fixing the vehicle they are very competent and
reasonable in price. I haven't figured out their pricing
schedule yet, but the prices are very good without a doubt.

i have brought both my vehicles to young's garage for many years and always received the best quality work in the most timely manner. jim/paul have always treated me with the upmost honesty in regards to my vehicles. In the end i have always walked away from 400 chandler st with the feeling that i was treated in a fair and honest manner. I would recommend this garage to anybody that wants excellent work at a reasonable price. keep up the good work......

I had gone to the local Ford dealer for problems with my
Taurus and was given a quote of $437. I felt that this was
too much and took it Young's. Young's fixed the problem in
half a day for $80. It took that long and $89 for the
dealer just to diagnose the problem. I would definitely go
back.

My '98 Escort was stalling occasionally, and occasionally
refusing to go into higher gears. I dropped off my car and
left a note about some of the sypmtoms my car was
experiencing, without any ideas on what was causing them,
with my key on Thursday evening. Even though only one of
them had been there that Friday, my car was ready to be
picked up the time I got back from work on Friday.
His description of how he'd tried to identify the problem,
as well as how he'd fixed the problems once he'd found what
he thought they were was incredibly detailed while at the
same time using small words, like "engine" and "not
working", which I appreciated very much.
It's been a couple of weeks, and my car has ceased
experiencing the problems that I'd asked them to take care
of. I highly recommend this garage.
The only slightly inconvenient thing is that the garage is
only open 9-5, M-F.

I am a college student here in Worcester and my Dodge Ram
was real loose in the auto transmission and my cruise had
stopped working. I thought I needed a tune-up which really
was my initial reason for bringing it in. I found Jim and
Paul's number on here, and trusting the reviews gave them a
call. This is the only problem I experienced with them;
they didn't call me back promptly that evening or the day
it was repaired (very next day). But when I called back a
second time they were more than pleasant and even said they
would drive me back to school so I wouldn't miss class.
That being said I felt good about getting it fixed.
They looked it over while I was in classes the next
day, and I called them at 4pm to see what was up because as
I said before they didn't call me. They said I was all set
and could pick it up right away that afternoon. They even
said I didn't need a tune-up because everything looked
good, but I should try perhaps to replace the O2 sensors to
get better gas mileage. They didn't replace those because
they ONLY use OEM (manufacturer) replacement parts and that
would have been a couple hundred bucks. Total price for
diagnostic, cruise repair and tranny linkage: 90 bucks
even. Very Satisfied.

Jim is the most honest and trustworthy mechanic in
Worcester. Have been using this family friendly shop for
over 25 years. Highly recommended - fast and very
reasonable auto work.
