They have good mechanics (better than most of the jokes they tell) and they do not seem to spend my money without good reason. Willing to seek less expensive alternatives on old klunkers. Very accomodating from the very beginning when they did not know me from the proverbial 'Adam'.

These guys are great. They are the best shop I ever found for foreign cars, esp. German. (Yeah, the will work on "American made"cars too.) They dirve, own and/or know these cars. They keep my old 85 Bimmers (318i, 325e) humming along, and, do repairs the dealers don't want to do anymore, and for less $$$. BTW, there aren't any BMW dealers in this area at all. Have had them tell me what NOT to repair, i.e. it didn't need to be done, or just wasn't worth fooling with. They come in on budget and ahead of schedule, or you get an advance call to give you any unexpected bad news. They are professional and competent and just plain good folks. I trust them more than I do my MD. Ah yes, because they are good, they are busy. Sometimes, you have to wait a week to get in the door. In an emergency, they can usually find a way to fit squeeze you in. They do charge standard labor rates, but "youz gets what youz pays for, Dad".
