I drive over 50 miles to take my '91 Saab to Joe Walts. He's decent, competent, thorough, and he knows Saabs. He always takes the time to show me, and explain, what he's done and why. I don't care how many boat payments I'm helping him make. I trust him, and that's worth an awful lot to me.

I had always taken my SAAB to the local factory dealership for routine service and repairs. Unfortunately, the local SAAB dealer is also an Audi and Porsche dealer, and their prices reflect this. Now that my 1998 900SE Turbo is off warranty, I use Walts Brothers exclusively. I only wish I had known about them sooner. The people are great, and the work is first rate. Best of all, I didn't need to take out a second mortgage to pay the bill. A lot of dealers could take a lesson from these guys at Walts, it means a lot to find honest, hardworking people who stand behind their service and truly put the customer first.

They have been wonderful resource to have in the area over the 20 years I have known them. Not inexpensive, but you absolutely do not have to worry about getting the job done. If there is any problem, there is no question that they will send you away happy. Always a pleasure to do business with them. Unbiased customer? Yes! They're good.

I know NOTHING about cars, but I don't need to as long as Walts Brothers is around. Steve, my mechanic, is a total VW expert. Nothing stumps him, he always fits me in, and he goes the extra mile to make his customers happy. My Passat has had all sorts of electronic problems, but Steve has nailed every one of them. Walts Bros rule!!

My daughter has a 1995 Saab 900S that was in and out of a good Saab repair shop in CT for at least a half dozen times trying to track down an intermittent engine stall condition (a mechanic's nightmare to fix). After having the shop in CT replace the obvious (neutral safety switch and crank position sensor), I gave Walts Bros a chance on a friend's recommendation. Needless to say, the ECM which was one of the parts I feared was bad did indeed fail. Walts Bros has the competency, equipment and determination to fix challenging problems. Along with the ECM change out, about a dozen other items were inspected, tested and changed out as required. These guys won me over.

Walts Brothers have been working on my cars for over 25 years. In all that time they have never done anything to diminish my trust in them. They are always honest and always do the right thing. One time they worked on my Saab for a check engine light, they fixed the issue, but just minutes after leaving the shop at about 5PM, the light came back on. I turned around and went back, they had already turned off the lights and locked the doors, but Joe opened up the shop, pulled my car in, and in a few minutes he found a bad connection, corrected the problem, and sent me on my (happy) way. They are the best, without a doubt.

These guys installed an engine in My Volvo S40. After the install it wouldn't start. They refused to recify the situation or take any ownership of the issue. Horrible customer service. I had to take the car to a rival shop to have it repaired properly.
