My husband introduced me to Don after taking his old Toyota there for several years. Since then, my husband and I have both relied on Don's Service Center as a trusted and dependable repair shop. He has been very honest with us about what repairs are worth our time and money and what can wait or be ignored.

Don is honest, reasonably priced, and competent. I can't think of any higher praise I would give any mechanic (he has 2 helpers).

Don is honest, competant, reasonable, and knowledgable. I've been going there for about 3 years and am incrediably happy. I highly recommend him and his staff.

5 years ago I needed new tires and a new mechanic at the same time so took a chance on Don's simply because it was within walking distance from work. They were honest and direct and sought to give me the best value - They've continued to do that every time I've returned. I've had Don check used cars for me and my boyfriend before buying since I trust his opinion implicitly. My employer ended up bringing our organization's van there and 2 of my coworkers started taking their cars to Don as well. I'm just sad that I've taken a new job in another city and will have to find another mechanic as competant, reliable, friendly, patient and honest...tall order.

I was buying a car from a private seller, and Don's was recommended to me as a place to have it looked over. My (former) mechanic is in Watertown, and the owner didn't want to take the car that far. Don checked it out, listed the couple of things that needed to be done, and prioritized them. I've gone back to have the work done, and will continue to go there.

I had a problem with a coolant leak. I was told by a couple of other shops that it could be leaking into my engine and therefore would be an expensive repair. Since shops were unable to do extensive engine work so I had to go somewhere else. After evaluating my car, Don said that the leak was external after all (and a lot less expensive to fix). I must have asked the same question three different ways to make sure I understood the problem and each time he answered me patiently. He even offered to explain the repair process again when I picked me car up. I was happy Don was able to diagnose the problem correctly and spare me a lot of unnecessary and expensive repairs.

I've taken my car to Don since I was an idiot college student. I've had everything from oil changes to brake and wheel work done with him on two different cars and his shop is always friendly, quick, and honest. He's even walked to my house and picked up my car to drive it to his shop when I had a leaking brake line pro bono.

Don is great. He takes the time to explain all repairs and estimates. He also provides free advice!

Don is honest and fair in his dealings. He tells you right away if you do not need the repair or if the car is too old to be worth doing the repair like he did for my 15 year old corolla which I subsequently donated.
