The availability of Phil's auto repair is almost enough reason to want to own a Nissan. He is skilled and honest, a wonderful combination.

Phil has been servicing my vehicles since the mid-80s. I just purchased my 4th Nissan - and yes, my loyalty to Nissan is partly due to Phil (he only works on Nissans.) He's honest, competent and fair. And he's patient enough to explain repairs in enough detail to satisfy my engineering in mind. How many folks ENJOY visiting their mechanic? ;-)

I went to Phil's on recommendation of this website. Phil is very honest and straight forward. His prices are average, but the quality of work is outstanding. Phil is easy to work with, and he doesn't try to sell anything you don't need. He also tries to keep everything within your budget. His garage isn't the easiest to get to (and it didn't help that I drove there for the first time at night), but it was well worth it. Phil only works on Nissans. Phil's a great guy, and I highly recommend him.

I'll echo what others have said. Phil worked on a prior Nissan for me for years. After I got 10 years and 100,000 miles out of it, it was time to buy a new car (that car ran another 40,000 before I lost track of it after it was resold) and one of the main reasons I chose another Nissan was because of Phil. When I had some issues early on, he sent me to the dealer because he thought repairs should be covered under warranty. He has also put off other work as "not needed right now". He is totally and completely honest and trustworthy. If you have a Nissan and are in the Stow area, this is the shop to use.

Phil was awesome! I called one afternoon and he took me right away, spent over 2 hours on my car (while he let me sit watch, and explained everything he did as he did it.) He charged me $48 total. He is not only just a very nice person, but extremely knowledgeable about Nissans. He's the kind of guy who will do anything he can to make you life easier. I will buy Nissans from now on just so I can take them to him!

Phil has taken care of me and my cars for over 20 years. He's honest, once turning down a brake job because my 13-year-old car was too rusty to make further investments (he showed me all the rust when the car was on the lift.) My husband recently traded in his 14-year-old Saturn for an Altima, just so he could start going to Phil.

Phil is a one man shop who specializes in Nissan's. He has over 30 years of experience. This is the place you go to when you want someone honest who is not trying to replace things that don't need replacing. He has a repair moral compass which is rare among auto mechanics. He will show you what is going on. His rates are reasonable and he is not trying to gouge people with inflated book time. He takes as much time as things need and is never in a rush. He will gladly spend time with you on the phone talking things over. I recently had my '03 Maxima belts changed and he did the job very quickly and the price was very reasonable. Recently I started hearing some very subtle clunks in the front end, and he quickly identified the ball joint. I was worried about the price of the Nissan part vs a non oem and Phil took the time to check different suppliers and offered me some options. While Phil is out in the country (country by Boston standards), he is worth the trip.
