When I went to Bay State Nissan to find out if the 1989 Nissan Maxima I purchased 8 months ago had been fixed after a recall years ago. Apparently, the man who I bought the car from never took care of it and had not brought it to Nissan to have the problem fixed. From the moment I walked in, I was treated with courtesy and respect and they didn't treat me as if I were an idiot. the ran the VIN and told me that they had to order the part and hopefully it would be in in a few days. It was in in 2 days and we scheduled an appointment immediately. Being that I am a woman, I frequently have mechanics talk to me as if I am and idiot and try to take advantage of the situation. Well, the person who explained to me what work needed to be done on the car, how they would correct it and what I should expect after the work was a woman! She was very kind, everyone was nice and she told me that they would take me home in their shuttle van and I could expect the work to be done in about 5 hours. 2 hours later, they called me to let me know that the work was finished! The kind woman I spoke with earlier let me know that the shuttle van would be there to pick me up shortly and they were there within 5 minutes! I do wish the prices were not so steep, but that it the way it goes with the dealership. However, I can honestly say I was treated 150% better at the Nissan dealership than I was at a Chevy dealership when I owned a 1996 Cavalier that had a "campaign" (recall) and they wanted to charge me $700- $1000 to fix it! The situation was rectified regarding the Maxima and I definitely, definitely recommend Bay State Nissan to everyone.
