Experience 1 - said that the 88 Volvo wagon I was about to buy needed some work before I bought it....the seller did the work. Experience 2 - The Volvo needed a new headliner; we set up to have Wally's recommended person do the work - it was done ($ 350.00). Wally said that there was a small flaw near the sun-roof (a wrinkle) which he didn't think his wife would accept, therefore he didn't charge a nickel for the work and discontinued his relationship with the installer. Experience 3 - My wife and sister were driving back from Maine in her Caravan and it broke down- I was travelling - my wife called Wally and told her to get to a local mechanic and ask a number of questions, if the answers confirmed his distant diagnosis and the price was less than X, have them do the work. They did and it worked out excellently. Experience 4 - WCS offered (no longer because he was getting killed $ wise) a 10% yearly discount if you donated 75.00 to a popular charity - that's the kind of guy he is. He has been working on all our vehicles for 12 years - " you can do this now or should have it done in the next 3,000 miles since it's not a safety issue. If it were a safety issue, he would tell you right out that you were in jeopardy driving the vehicle in that condition. Experiences - Services my Lexus, explains everything - I asked him to check out my wifes '78 VW Westfalia 2 months ago. He said he didn't feel qualified to do the work and recommended a local VW guy who did the work and did it well. Honest as can be - he has over 6 bays and does the work on appointment if possible, but will pull a 'will wait' when conditions dictate. I could go on and on and on. I'll be retiring soon and moving to Texas...my wife said "maybe we should reconsider; what are the chances we'll find another Wally?"

I've had two Volvo240s: 1983, 1993 maintained by Wally for about 20 years now... I guess that's all one needs to say; why would I keep returning if the service wasn't so good ? WCS specializes in Volvo and has invested to keep up to date with the advancing technology - my cars are older but I note that he services all of the newer models of Volvo. If I'm out of town it's a place that my wife feels comfortable taking the car with confidence of fair dealing. Whenever the car is in for service it is scrutinized for other problems , not just what the immediate problem is.
