Charlie Russell, the owner and only mechanic at Car Services, is a complete gem! He is super nice and as honest a guy as you'll find anywhere. He goes out of his way to solve the problem, and is extremely competent at what he does. If there's something he can't fix, he'll refer you someplace else, and you can bet they will also be honest and reliable. I have been going to him for more than 10 years, and I currently have to drive almost an hour to his shop, but it's worth the trip. He's the best mechanic and one of the nicest people I know.

I actually found Charlie through the Car Talk website here over the summer. I wasn't sure what to expect, but it turned out Charlie was a super-friendly and knowledgeable fellow with a small shop that handles Nissans specifically, but occasionally works on other Japanese makes. I decided to give him a try after two Nissan dealers and another independent were unable to diagnose an unusual engine problem our 2001 Pathfinder was having. He invested a lot of time and effort (more than anyone else did by far) to try and solve our problem and in the end narrowed the problem down for us. It turned out it was transmission related (an expensive fix!), and we decided to sell the car rather than repair it, but Charlie was invaluable during the process. He charged us a very small sum for labor compared to the amount of time he had invested in the vehicle. More importantly, he spent a long time on the phone with us discussing things and answering our questions in detail. If anyone owns a Nissan and is in the area he's definitely worth visiting.

Personable, knowledgeable, and above-board to a T. And quick - When there aren't other customers in front of me, I've dropped off my car in the morning and had it back before lunch. The car get fixed and the issue goes away, simple as that
