I have been taking my cars to Dave for over 20 years now, because I trust him so highly to ALWAYS give the straight scoop on what is wrong with my car. I have taken it in with vague reports of noises, which does not faze him, and it has never, ever turned out to be some mysteriously expensive repair - more often he has found some minor problem, and fixed it more than promptly. Dave has also indeed done major repairs, such as exhaust sytstem, and brakes, but it was always with full explanation and was what I was expecting needed to be done anyway. I am very, very happy with Dave and his garage, and I find it a pleasure in life to NOT have the difficulty of a questionable mechanic. Quite the opposite - Dave is one of the few people I can ALWAYS count on.

I've been taking my cars to Dave and Rich at Central Service Garage since I moved to Massachusetts ten years ago. I consistently have great experiences with them. Just recently I had some scheduled maintenance performed, and I was charged well under the estimate for several of the repairs. I have also found these guys to be an invaluable resource when buying a used car. For a very reasonable fee, they do a thorough inspection of the car (including a test-drive) and provide a report that really helps in making the final decision.

The most honest and competant mechanic I have ever known. You get the work done that needs to be done, and David will tell ou if you don't need to spend the money if he believes it is not required. An added benefit to the shop is it is located steps away from the Natick Center commuter rail station.

Dave and Rich are great. Always honest. It is important to have a mechanic you feel comfortable with and to not feel taken advantage of the way dealerships make me feel.

Dave and Rich are both amazing mechanics and not enough respect can be given to them for their ability to work on cars. My father has been going to Dave for many years since he found out that he was an Audi specialist. Whenever I bring my car in I am completely at ease about the safety of my car and that the work will be done very quickly. More often than not my car is ready before I even expected it! They go the extra mile to take a peek and make sure that there are no dangers or severely worn parts on your car. Trust all of the above recommendations from everyone else, these guys are great mechanics and great people.

I never write these things, but for Dave, I will make an exception. I have been going to Central Service for about 20 years, and I will go there until the day that I die. In short, aside from family members, if I needed someone to hold onto a grand for me for a few months, Dave would be choice before any of my friends. That is the amount of trust that I have in him and his integrity. One time, I brought a 1995 Celica to a dealership because it was having a few issues (they were closer to my house) with the electrical wiring. They explained that they could replace it for around $1,600 or try to fix it - I was told that it might not even work - for $1,100. I was going to just get rid of the almost 10 year old car, but I called Dave and swung by to drop the car off. He called me the next day and said, "OK...you want the good news or the bad news first?" I said, "Bad news". Dave said, "Well, the bad news is that half of your electrical wiring is corroded. The good news is the other half is melted." ending the joke with a chuckle. I said, "Is there anything that you can do for me?" His response, "Well, about how much are you willing to spend?" I said, "Geez, I don't know...." hoping that it wasn't going to be a thousand dollars and up. He said, "Hmmm...I can probably get it going for a couple of hundred dollars. Would 200 work for you?" I said, "Sure!" When the car was ready, he called me and said, "It's all ready for you to pick up. I think I got everything going well. The total is two hundred eighty-two." About 300 bucks to get my car working...fantastic. An extra 82 bucks was worth it. When I went to pick the car up that night, I looked at the receipt and got a surprise...it was two hundred eight-two alright...$200.82. He had to add on a few wires, so he was 82 cents off his estimate. I had that car for another year and a half before I got rid of it...and the wiring was perfect until then. He does amazing work, and I recommend him to anyone with a foreign car (he only works on European and Asian cars with a specialization in Audis). If I ever move out of the area, one of the things that I will truly miss is Dave.
