I'm an English professor, so when the car fails, what am I supposed to do -- lean over the hood and intone, "To start or not to start, that is the question"? Mike Sullivan at Mansfield Auto Specialties could have pulled the wool over my mechanically-ignorant, academic mind a hundred times. But instead he's become a friend and a God send. He only fixes what actually needs to be fixed -- he never embelleshes. He looks for the least expensive options. He explains things in a way that even a Ph.D. can understand. He takes the car at a moment's notice and accomodates my family's busy schedule. He's even said things like, "I could try to fix this, and charge you a mint, but it's really not worth it to you." I teach at a small, private college -- Mike has often said, "I know you're paid at the end of the month. Waith and pay me then!" The man is a prince and deserves to be recognized -- a professional mechanic and a professional human being!

Mike Sullivan is efficient and honest. One vacation, I left my Buick Regal with him to replace a clicking left front CV joint. When I returned there was no charge. He had fixed the clicking by duct taping the inside of a flexing hubcap.

I am a retired bus mechanic who knows his limits. Several times Mike diagpnosed a problem on my car- at no charge- that I was able to repair myself.

I called Mike to discuss an engine replacement and he said they really don't do motor work. The specialties listed here include engine rebuilding and should be corrected.

Mike has been the mechanic that I have trusted for many years. He and Paul really know their crafts. They are honest, reliable, quick and efficient. You never have to worry about the run around with these guys.
